I wish he could see how far we've walked on the path paved by him and de Gaulle. Vielen Dank für alles, Herr Adenauer!

Very interesting video! Thank you so much for sharing it! Adenauer was a great man and a fantastic political leader! So was Theodor Heuss as well. The team of the two managed to properly rebuild Germany after the war, at least West Germany. All the best and much respect from Suceava, Romania!

All countries have a little blood on their hands; some, like Germany, have strong moral roots and are capable of redemption.

Indeed, Dr Konrad-Adenauer led Germany to the right way of democracy and liberty, creating economic development of the country. Not all countries have the chance to have such as providencial person. UK had Winston Churchill, France General Charles de Gaule, the USA Georges Washington, Roosevelt and many more. South-Africa had Nelson Mandela.

@@Steve14ps Indeed, it was very sad after the war... The city centre of Dresden for example, if I'm not mistaken, was entirely destroyed (or almost entirely). The horrors of the war shouldn't ever be replicated in Europe... All the best!

Annett. Bless you. I am English and my generation lived through those dark times. However, we have our own historic issues. You are the first German I have heard, being so genuinely contrite. Your attempt at English is commendable and understood . A true Ambassador. Take care...
