I spent 4 years in UG from 2015 to 2019, and i saw this project going on. My colleagues and I used to go sit at the now parking lot for fresh air. I thought it was the University of Ghana project, i never knew this came from the brains of H.E. John Dramani Mahama. May God bless us with visionary leaders.

Health care will and will continue to be very expensive. Here in the Netherlands without insurance, you will be in a big problem if you are sick.

It is not true. You need to have national health insurance card, then you're treated for free.

I dont think i would want to call a hospital beautiful they are generally places to avoid. However this is a first class facility which we deserve. There should be a policy of attracting patients from.outside to subsidise its costs. In best case scenario medical care should be free for Ghanaians. But imagine if other African leaders used this facility instead of always going outside of Africa for treatment.

Expensive, that is why we need to have health insurance. Here in USA, those who are strong and health paid for sick people through health insurance. I know, you travel to other countries in world. Please, ask the Leaders about health care. When it comes to health care issues, it not about NPP or NDC. It about raising money to maintain the place and paying Doctors, Nurses and other professionals at the hospital. Cash and Carry is a problem for the people, especially does who a sick.

Hmmm…. Don’t be too quick to judge. Healthcare is expensive. I think health insurance pays 20 Cedis or 30 Cedis for each consultation. 11 Cedis for each child. How do you expect them to maintain the hospital with such amounts? This is why many of our hospitals are in a state of disrepair. I understand why they don’t accept the NHIS.

@@lilyo.9802 i have always argued in not for politics what value would 30cedis insurance do...instead of having 3 categories...30cedis basic insurance...basic medications and vaccines...200cedis for standard.. basic medications, minor surgery and dialysis...500 cedis for premium...all kind of surgery,cancer and advance treatments..u suscribe to which you wanna cover for the year...if not the insurance would be useless and debt

Ignorance is a bliss. All the major milestones of Ghana in recent times was done under the NPP. It started from president kufuor. From Fcube, NHIS, LEAP, School feeding, changing old bulbs to florescente energy saving bulbs, free SHS etc. Because you saw a hospital, a project by Prof Mills which Mahama continued. They president Akufo Addo completed the last stage. Equipped and staffed it. No wonder some governments abandon projects.
