Maya, I am an elder from the US. I have been watching you since you were in China. I thought to myself who is this little African boy and what is he doing? I stopped for a while, and then a video came up and you were in Africa. I have so enjoyed the journey with you. Every time you do another country, city, or village I feel apart of it. Thank you so much for enriching all of over lives by introducing the wonderful Continent of Mother Africa. May the Most High Yah continue to give you traveling mercies.

This evoke feelings of nostalgia growing up in the village in Southern Cameroons. How truly we all have a similar authentic culture as Africans. Even though I, like most of you, have adopted the remote-control culture in the Western society, this Namibia episodes has made me realize how much more I love my African culture.

I'm so glad I found this channel. It's very important to show self sufficiency. She said "we don't by anything but cooking oil, let's go get our sugarcane snack". The indigenous people on the planet are a wonderful resource for getting pur center back, and living in companionship with each other, and our beautiful Mother Earth. Thank you so much for this video 😁🥰

Such an entertaining video of village life in Namibia, love seeing you with our Namibian favorite ItsWoven. It brought me back so many childhood memories of growing up in the village in Kavango West region, which is a neighbor of Wovens region. Everything from the mahangu fields to relieving ourselves in the forest. 😂😂 Great storytelling of Namibian culture, thank you to both of you! 🙏🏾🤎

@@timowr9228 No, staple is different from the sugarcane. They are the same size, on the sugarcane the grain is sorghum, used to make 2 types of drinks. The staple food grain is pearl millet aka Mahangu. We use that to make porridge.

Everything about this village reminds me of growing up in rural east Texas including the compound. One of my older relatives lived in a cabin which was surrounded by a fence almost exactly like the one here and she keep the grounds swept clean with zero grass for a lawn.
