what could be even funnier is if he guessed "u" as the vowel. then it would be ZWJU. Extremely uncommon letters, but the "u" would STILL be in the puzzle.

Okay... even though he did well, I gotta say, what an evil puzzle. J W Z and U... really Wheel? I guess the fact that he solved it means I don't have room to complain.

It's interesting how in the 25 years they've had the "three-and-a-vowel" rule, no one has ever solved it before calling their letters. I often wonder what would happen if they did. If that would be aloud or if in that case they couldn't give it to them because of a violation of the rules. Again, just something I've often wondered about.

Yeah. I always wondered about quick bonus round solves and Pat himself has mentioned that he didn't quite understand it. I always thought it was the used letter board that helped. But I guess some people don't look at the puzzle. They just think of the category and say whatever comes to mind and often times it works to their advantage.
