On the 4th May 2015, Working on Fire, together with fire and rescue services throughout the world commemorated International Fire Fighters' Day where we recognised and honoured the sacrifices that our fire fighters make to ensure that their communities and the environment are as safe as possible. But more over it was also a time to remember the fire fighters who lost their lives whilst on duty.
For us in the WoF programme it was a sombre day as we lost five of our fire fighting heroes who died on duty since the last International Fire Fighters' Day in 2014.
