With no one else to blame, Stenberg is setting herself up to have any potential career in acting stunted or culled early. She first talks about "non-fans" having issues with the Acolyte, then proceeds to blame "fans" for stating their displeasure with the show and Disney/LucasFilm's direction with Star Wars as being the problem. Her head isn't bolted on straight. She like Headland, Kennedy, Feige, Iger..., fail to understand that it's the true fans of the franchises having backed and financially supported them for decades that are speaking out and refusing to fund the continued bastardization of franchises they love. If your agenda driven message is making more waves than it is money, don't blame the fans, blame yourselves for not having made a product that draws the fans in and is as inclusive as the original that grew the fanbase and actually filled your coffers in the first place.

This is such a non-issue. I am a hispanic. If I want to watch a movie about samurai, I expect most of the characters to be of Japanese origin. If I am watching a show about vikings, I expect most of the characters to be white. If I am watching a movie about the cartels, I would imagine most characters to be latino. If I am watching a movie about freaking sci-fi and aliens, the last thing I expect to take any prioritzation is the freaking sexual orientation of the characters.
