Unpopular opinion but if we're to implement the 3diamond3 Arteta hinted at during preseason then signing FDJ would be more important than signing Osimhen.

God I hope we don't sign Osimhen. Pointless signing because every other season he'd be off to the African Nations Cup mid-season. If we build a team to suit him but then he goes off- what then? Nightmare.

I think you need to remember that long term plan is Timber, and maybe Tomi too with the way he was playing. Makes any "need" for another 6 disappear a bit. And Jorginho isn't that old, he turned 32 in December, still a couple top class seasons left there. Frankie would be a stellar signing if possible.

Good teams are ruthless they are always in market to improve their squad. Whereas mid table club wake up when they are under crisis. I want arsenal to have a big club me ntality.

FDJ no doubt. Atm imo having another 6 in the arsenal squad is repetitive and does not help Arsenals main issue which facilitating good positions for Goals. FDJ would be revolutionary for Arsenal. Its the ultimate link up play with Martinelli or Saka. Just imagine the banger Goals FDJ could facilitate imagine how much smoother our progression would be. Plus at 27 years old and a financially desperate barcelona and a FDJ who couldnt live up to his potential in Barcelona due to the situation the club is in there is a good chance we could get him for a much lower price say between 50-60 million euros.

@@mancubofthenorth4554 Elneny and Partey for sure are leaving Jorgi and Rice should be enough for the backline or a double Pivot. Jorgi has proved hes still a Top 10 CDM in the Liverpool Match

I don’t think the transfer fee for Frenkie De Jong would be the problem it’s the wages. Unless he was willing to take a massive cut to his Barca wages I can’t see him leaving any time soon.

@Rk-xx1sg true, but his weekly wages r in the region of 350-400K/ Week which I think would influence Edu n Arteta. Unless he agrees to a wage cut. My 2cents, Zubimendi should be our target as he's a no.6, n that what Arteta n Edu are looking for. How i wish though we could keep Partey.

Would rather have Zubimendi - he's on the upwards trajectory and will have extra motivation. Plus, Zubimendi not only would be easier to get since he has a release clause in his contract but also his wages would be a lot lower than De Jong's.

we have the 2nd best dm itw in rice, why would we buy another good dm, meaning we would have to play one of them not at dm? doesnt make any sense

@@unknownllama9833 Rodri, DeJong and Kimmich are the top 3 DM. Rice is so far off from Busquets’ level in terms of technicality, teamwork, game reading, dictating tempo, vision, tiki taka passing, insane close control, silky touch, dribbling skills and tricks on the ball.

@@thierryhenry674kimmich isn’t really a dm and de Jong definitely isn’t. Neither of those 2 (but especially De Jong) could play in a single pivot. Rice is the 2nd best cdm in the world.

@@homoerectus3355 Both of them have played the DM a lot, in both club and international level. They play further up as well but they play equally well whenever they are playing in the DM position. Rice is not the second best DM, he is not even silky on the ball.

@@unknownllama9833 Elneny is leaving in the summer and Partey probably (and hopefully) as well. Which will only leave us with Rice and Jorginho - assuming the club will trigger the 1-year extension option in his contract. There WILL be certain games, or even moments within games, where 2 DMs will be needed on the field and we would be leaving ourselves VERY short if we DIDN'T sign anyone to cover this position in case of an injury. Even IF Partey and Jorginho end up staying at the club, let's not forget they are both over 30 - and one of them already has a bad injury record.

Signing Frenkie is a fantasy, he's on 720k a week, no matter how bad Barcelona wants to get rid of him he's not going anywhere, nobody is going to match that salary even if it was a free transfer.

We have many players that can do the no 8 role and so if we lose Jorginho and Partey in the summer the no 6 is a priority. Such a shame how injured Partey gets. Too many cooks in the kitchen especially if Arteta wants to promote Charlie Patino and Skelly more.

timber, tomi, white, gabriel, saliba, kiwior and even tierney can all play cb, even rice in emergencies, its not a priority. neither is lw. a cm or two, saka backup and a striker is needed@@hassanabdulkadir8099

Really we need both because with Thomas probably leaving and Jorginho and Elneny contracts up at the end of the season we need a dm but we also need an 8 lcm and we have been needing it for a long while now and De Jong would be perfect but unfontualy we can't afford both because of FFP and we also need a LB, ST, RW and we will already be signing raya for 27 mil so regardless we will still be missing

I don't know if arsenal ever want these two, how ever you read your fact wrong in the sense that like this : For fdj you seem makeing his touch and pass was a good key intel ,how ever if you play for barca you would touch, and pass the ball alots that is not aplus point that make him fit I personaly think we need no 9 and a pure/prolifikstriker ,should partey go we need some one like foden of city who can flick a defence into atacking mode in 1 or 2 touch ,attack from the center. We don't even need some one like mbepe if we going to put him on the wings. Just my opinion🙏🙏

If De Jong or Zubimendi are going to cost more than £50mill, I prefer they use the money to lure Mbappe in. Arsenal need a clinical (and rarely injured) striker more than anything else at the moment.
