True. But Wolves have a very specific way of killing their prey. They bite at the jugular and/or trachea. Having the intelligence necessary to know you can kill something with blood loss by going for a very exposed aspect of the prey’s body that normally gives no indication about it being a weak point is a far greater advantage in the wolf’s favor than anything the hyena has.

However, there have been reports of people stung by bees (just not enough to make them "dangerous"). We have 2 species found - honeybees & cape honey bees. Anywhere else in Africa, specifically towards the Central Region or rather in the extreme heat of Sub-Saharan African countries (excluding South Africa of course), you would find much more dangerous bee species. There are possible outliers, but that's more like exception, rather than the usual. Outside of Grays, which accounts to biiiiig majority of wolf population, their average size is around 80 lbs only. African wild dogs are 50-70lbs. Whereas, Spotted Hyenas are easily around 140lbs, while Zambian population easily averages 150+ pounds.

A hyenas intellect is close to, or the same as some primates. Wolves are not smarter than them, I don't know where people have got this info from.

They have smarter TACTICS. You can't pretend hyenas have any form of coordination in their attacks. They literally just surround something that's alone and sneak in bites when they're not looking until they are worn down enough to get the kill. Pretty much the same thing every time. Wolves will find a herd and single one out and drive them away from the rest and use coordination to guide them where they want them before bringing them down by biting their legs and making them fall so they can get a clean bite to the throat. They don't just wander until they see an easy meal, they make the meal easy. Hell, they've even been known to trick bears and steal their food. There's one video where they pretend to attack a young bear just to lure the parents away from their food while another sneaks in and steals it. There's no video evidence of hyenas performing a more intelligent tactic in getting their food in the wild. Can't just read something online with no evidence to prove it, and take it as fact. As far as proof goes, wild wolves have smarter tactics.

@@colecampbell1906I agree that wolves are capable hunters, but you're clearly short changing hyenas. There's a method to their "controlled chaos",they don't just target easy meals (i think that comes from people's erroneous perception that hyenas are lowly scavengers), they are the 2nd most successful predators in their environment, only (closely) behind wild dogs. You're underestimating hyenas hunting capabilities and TACTICAL intelligence. Due to wolves smaller size, its more fair to have around 12/13 hyenas vs 20 wolves. That would be more of an even fight. I'm not denying wolves capabilities, they are impressive, but I'd say the hyenas would win against wolves.

There is no way a wolf can defeat a hyenas,with only with bite the hyenas can crash their bone to the brain .I don’t think u realise how strong Haynes are ,even leopard tend not to Attack Haynes as they will lose .
