Chris, I got my 28c with the magnum package a couple of months ago and I love it, Its is a Beast of a machine, The oil change is very easy to do and the oil ports are very accessible, I got the 12 way, 6 way, and 4 way wedges and use them all depending on the size of the rounds, The only issue I have with the machine is that it runs out of gas, you and your team make the best wood splitters on the market in my opinion. Keep up the good work

The best thing I ever added to my splitter was a small truck crane with a winch and a pair of log tongs. Pulls 500lb rounds up to the log lift no problem. Now even my wife can bring the big ones over to me.

I’m sure enjoying our 35 sho with the 35 stroke! It has far surpassed every expectation we had when we picked it up. Thank you for the great product. Keep the videos coming. I been seeing a lot of people promoting a Canadian made product, I think more should be promoting your made in USA products.

Drove mine to Plymouth last weekend to help a friend. He new I had one of your splitters. When I pulled in with the 12× wedge you'd have paid to see the look on the old timers faces, also, they called bs when I said it had a 5sec cycle time @35 tons but I soon put that to rest lol. Edit: I installed a cool little coffee holder on the side last week, great move.

My 36c is pretty much the twin of your video unit. Every bell & whistle.. (go big or go home, I guess) It's an animal! When I road trailer, I extend the ram fully. This adds significantly more tongue weight . The splitter seems to be much happier with the added tongue weight. Trailering from the motor side in the wood lot is, to say the least, very convenient and time-saving (as the wood piles up fast). Great job, Wolfe Ridge-

As a great Honda engine fan for 30+ years I know those low stressed Honda engines can take a lot of use and abuse. But now that I get to “the age of wisdom” 😄 I always take care that the engine of e.g. my power generator EU3000is is covered and protected from rain / dirt while in use. Surprised to see there is no engine protection on this top class quality splitter. When you drive on the road or use this splitter in wet conditions, I’m afraid water can get to spots that the engine or starter mechanism won’t be too happy with despite being a sturdy GX. Would be interested to hear your opinion and experience with this Chris, maybe these powerplants are even more though than I thought. And keep up the good work guys!!!

Hey Niseko! Hope you don’t mind me jumping in here uninvited, but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts and idea’s on what could be done. I myself don’t find it reasonable to think a manufacturer can protect its products from buyers who want to abuse said products. If someone chooses to run their splitter in the pouring rain or run it down a gravel road at 50 mph, that’s their decision. You can’t protect stupid from itself. #firewoodmidwest

@@FirewoodMidwest Hey Firewood Midwest, no worries and I agree with your remark referring to common sense when using an advanced and expensive tool for sure. Just wanted to ask Chris about his reasoning in why he doesn't foresee in fenders or an engine cover. Maybe Chris provides this as an optional extra, my post was NOT mentioned to question the tecnical / engineering integrity of his company as a quality brand. (do take into consideration I'm not a native English speaker ;-) so bringing some nuances is not always that evident) - Take care in the Midwest!!

@@ludosys4903 your post was well spoken, polite and positive. 👍🏻 I have a splitter like the one in the video and it’s only meant to be towed a very short distance. Also, I treat mine like a Harley. It’s in a heated shop and I only take it out when the suns shining! Lol! JK! If someone was wanting a splitter that tows great and has fenders they might choose the super HO model. Have a great day Niseko!✌🏻 #firewoodmidwest

@Wolfe Ridge MFG: I’m ready for my break in oil change … stupid question since Chris didn’t mention it and I can’t find one on my splitter or mentioned in the owner’s manual but these Honda engines on the 35C don’t have an oil filter?

Chris very nice machine. I'm currently talking with your dealer in PA and purchasing one. We have a tow behind high output splitter that we are using now, I fabricated a longer bar on the rear of the splitter to compensate for the negative tongue weight so we can tow it from behind, split with it attached to a utv then pull away from the wood pile. We never take the splitter off the utv from the moment we leave the barn, split and return to the barn. Can I do that with this machine the Compact Commercial? Hook it up from the rear and leave it hooked up that way?? Thanks Chris
@WolfeRidgeSplitters
@WolfeRidgeSplitters 2 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. There are actually videos on KZfaq from guys who do just that. Tongue weight is only about 50 # on this model, so not much negative tongue weight when towing from the rear. Thanks! Chris

@@WolfeRidgeSplitters Hey Chris, I finally picked up my splitter, I guess after the hydraulic fluid cooler was added it had a bit of air trapped in it.
