@@The_Primary_Axiom People expect way too much these days. More than 10 hours means, worthless filler and/or running around in a hub, waiting till something happens. I wanna know how good it is. If it's fun to play, it's as long as I wish, since I'd rather replay a 4 hour game over and over again, till I reach 80 hours, than being bound to an overly long game.

D C Well, so far Wolfenstein is following most of the original timeline, with Commander Keen confirmed to be B.J's either grandson or great grandson. Plus Hugo Martin said they were going to answer the question whether the Slayer is the original Doomguy or not, because if he is, then he'll still be a Blazkowicz.

Naw, you can't couch co-op Smash Ultimate in Arena... You can couch co-op standard but not in Arena? Seems like a ploy to sell more copies... except this time it's confusing because of the buddy pass... not sure what they're trying to accomplish without split screen...

Split screen went out of the window for one main reason imo. piracy. yes games can still be multiplayer cracked but they are far far less common.

​@@GHSTDEEJ it's companies deciding not to have it despite public interest though, I understand how a server based architecture could reduce piracy, as it's more difficult to pirate and play together on a server based game, but pirates are going to pirate either way... they'll either go without or they'll reverse engineer it if they have to (looking at all the free to play WoW servers etc.) One explanation might be the rise of PC gaming... many people have computers in office type spaces and not in their living rooms, making couch co-op or split screen less of a thing by the nature of the PC set up... But console gaming still exists, maybe with the rise of things like Stadia and the ever increasing nostalgia market, the demand for split screen stuff could increase again, but who knows?

frankthebegginer yeah, I miss the days of offline coop. It not only saves you money but gives you more options for fun. I guess you can’t use the buddy pass feature when you’re offline.

I think they can't do split screen coop because the consoles don't have enough processing power to render two different FOV for two players at once, but that's just a guess :)
