Can you please make a video about dual wielding and other fighter weapon specializations? Dualwielding means you attack with both weapons during attack action or do you hit only with right weapon and you need bonus action to hit with the weapon in left hand? If you only hit with your left hand during bonus action this can mean that if there is not many great magic 1h weapons it can be better to go for 2h weapons or 1h+shield than dualwielding for fighters.

You are doing a great job TY. I was so happy to see some monetary support arrive during your BG3 opening day stream. I do have some old man's advice for you. 1. No man is an island. During your streams, I recommend you have a discord channel member, a close friend, or family member observe the constantly scrolling text for donations/comments/questions. That way they can tell you in your discord channel the genuine posts that NEED a response. Even if they can only watch the text for a 1/2 hour it would be a tremendous help to you. Practically every successful streamer I have seen has a person at their side or in the background assisting them. 2. Turn up the HEAT. The moment other twitch streamers, podcasters, and U tubers realize that D&D has FINALLY! been successfully been transferred into a PC game they are all going to jump on your bandwagon. You already have an advantage over them because of your pre-release videos. Now turn up the heat by posting 5-minute or shorter niche class guides. Examples Do a Drizzt build guide, an Elminstir build guide, etc... along with other niche builds like the Thunder GOD Cleric, etc... This way you will spend far less time editing/uploading. Then once completed you can string them all together in a playlist. There are plenty of small PC dummies videos you could for the game as well. Example: I am deathly afraid of the sync feature a rust monster could spring up and destroy my gear then if the game syncs I am SOL. Being a retired "Old School" person I know very little about PCs. IF the retired community finds out about BG3 the feature videos will be in VERY high demand, BG3 is basically our childhood dreams come true. The bottom line is, keep bombarding your subscribers with info so they don't have a reason to go to anyone else. TY again for all the help I hope to one day adventure with you, or at least see you in the game. Good Luck you deserve it. Oh btw, shouldn't Drow have a plus one resistance to all schools of magic?

Point is: These are motion-captured faces of real people., to get facial expressions right. - So: Either they send even more people (than the 40 or so so far...) into the studio, or it is indeed back luck. ;)

I kinda hope they don't. Look at Bioware games; tons of sliders - all leading to your character looking freakish. It was almost impossible to make a good looking male elf in DAI for instance. Once you thought the face looked alright, cut-scenes proved otherwise. This is infinitely better imo.

I hope they fix the male gith model. Kind of hard to accept that +2 strength when his legs are skinnier than my forearms lol

Also Dex is used in ranged touch attacks and touch attack spells. Especial important for Warlocks, since Eldritch Blast is a range touch attack spell..

@John Meyers if you want to play "eloquent manipulator and knowledgeable scholar" i would suggest Wood Half-Elf Bard from college of Lore ;) Shoot enemies with your bow, learn spells like fireball and have about 13 skills you are proficient with ;) so all int, wis and cha skills :D You can also be a Human for better stats than Wood Half-Elf as then you can be 10/14/10/14/14/16 but you lose proficiency in stealth.

This might just be for early access. They did say they were considering letting you actually roll your stats. Maybe. Also it helps newer players to not make their character completely unbalanced.

Attribute gear is 5th only boosts a stat up to 18(+4) this is due to the 'bounded accuracy system' where attributes cap at 20 except for capstone bonuses(barbarian) or epic attribute tomes that can boost a stat and its maximum by 2(+1) point per use.

skills like deception & persuasion are in the Charisma section of the skill tree, so they get your charisma mod + your proficiency mod if you choose that skill during character selection/the rare chance you get more skills(multiclassing w/ rogue, etc). Proficiency scales with character level and goes from +2 to +6, with a attribute of 20(+5) +11 will be your cap unless your class gives you expertise(doubles proficiency bonus) or you're effected by something like Guidance or Bless, two very very useful spells.

Wisdom is insanely important in this game (at least the first act). For the reasons you mentioned AND it being a story based roll, I'd bump it up and dump int on your main. Int is a super rare save (even though the reprecutions of failing those rare throws are HUGE), while just looking at the roster of villains I can safely say Wis saving throw will be plentiful. Int checks also usually come up by interacting with something, just have a different character be the smarts (like a class that actually uses the stat *cough wizards cough*)

@@chrisgee8441 Thanks that really helped! What kind of saving throws will you need against mindflayers? Intelligence? Also I know some spells overlap between say warlock and wizard, if I'm a warlock does the effectiveness of those spells go up at all with intelligence, or only through charisma since I'm a warlock? Beau Floyd Most mind flayer abilities in 5e are Intelligence saves, though they have dominate monster which would be Wisdom. Intelligence has no benefit to warlock spells, your spell attack and spell save DC all rely on Charisma.

LOL I know exactly what you are referring to with the concentration hahah. Solasta is great and I definitely think Larian should look at that game closely for possible insight/ideas for BG3!

From what gameplays I did see I can tell you it is the selected party member. I hope they change it because it does not look good if your let say fighter start a conversation and a vary charismatic warlock can't chip in to do a diplomacy roll.

@@zarddin9561 Thanks bud. Yeah, I like the idea of the party skill system on some checks. Sometimes you walk into a cut scene where you may not have the option to select the most appropriate party member. You may have been exploring and watching for traps with your dirty thief or meat head fighter as you mentioned.

In the tabletop game you need a 13 in a secondary class's (when multi-classing) primary ability.

Yes I know for my main playthrough I'm going to need the 13 in dex and wisdom if it's going to be like the table top but since I don't know when the monk will be added I'm probably not going to worry about it for the early access which gives me more options to consider of where I can put the points

No but if you leave two scores on odd numbers, when you reach level 4 you can make them both even

To keep players from being OP in the beginning! When you reach level 4 and 8 you get a chance to boost them again.

@@WolfheartFPS I just looked it up, it's part of the actual 5e point buy rule. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying 5e with my friends currently but there are some changes that really bug me. This point buy system being one of them. My friends and I usually roll for stats so most of us roll highest a 16. Add that with bonus and you get a solid 18. There's also a attribute cap of 20 which also bugs the hell out of me. Some DM's even take that rule out but I doubt Larian is going to wave that rule. So far I'm really enjoying BG3 Early Access but I really miss 3.5e.

From the way it sounds they will also implement the roll system.

For now you pick different members from your camp with a total party of 4, your main plus 3 companions.

Modifier adds to or deducts from your roll. So you roll an 8 with a +2 it's 10. You roll an 16 with -1 it's 15.

lol. so very true. newbs minds gonna blow w multiclassing. dip 1 point here, 8 points there, 12 points somewhere else (plus magic initiate). not to mention gear +@. fun times ahead. i sure hope this game designer thinks about opening this game up to outside mods. i can imagine using this as an alt to roll20.

Warlock is CHAR based

Wisdom saves but his spell dc is charisma based

Got it but had to read a manual cause never played dnd before. That's pretty unintuitive. Originally thought when warlock casts enchantment spell it's competition between caster and target wisdom stat. Like battle of minds or something.

David Hujik strength highest, then con and wis. But is Dwarf in BG3 yet?

@@davidhujik6078 John is correct with the stat spread. Yes dwarves are there. You may want to flip the con and wis. Get a 16 str, 16 wis and a 14 con. If you plan on using spells that don't require saving throws, or add your ability modifier you can go 16 str, 16 con and 14 wis. If you're willing to dump cha and int you could go 17/17 and bump up at level 4 to 18/18.

15 is the max with the D&D point buy system. You can get to 16 or 17 with racial bonuses but manually you can only buy 15s. 18 is the max with the roll system.
