well I did cut the footage out of when I was searching for one which felt like an hour, it takes time and patients to find one, finding a mate depends on game version, and how much xp (800 max to be able to find mate) Free free to let me know if you have any more questions, I Promise I wont bite

I know I’m pretty late, but for anyone who still plays this game, in order to get a mate, you’ll also have to have hunting experience. For example, kill at least 20 cow elk (easiest elks to kill) and a few coyotes, like 5-10. Then you’ll have more of a chance to find a wolf a different gender.

The brighter it is the closer you are to the wolf and the dispersal wolf's can be found in a place called mountain u forgot the rest on the name but it's something like that

Keep in mind you also need atleast 800 exp for a dispersal wolf to want you. Get exp by hunting elk, being a skilled hunter of elk means the female (or male) will want you as their mate and trust you to provide for their pack.

You need to get to 800 exp or something higher to get a mate !

The game software spawns them at random, after you get enough experience, or something like that. yes I think your correct on you need 800 exp. or what the game would call it experience points, I hope I am right on that, Thank you for commenting.

How do I know how much XP from hunting elk I have?

When ever you perform a act (interacting with other wolves, marking your territory) you will see a floating xp gain number every time you do so, that means your gaining xp, please feel free to ask me any other questions, it’s what I am here for ;)

@@ashstarx916 well the place I found my mate was the place I started in the game, first I went and interacted with other wolves and gained about 800xp and then went back to the place I originated from and found a mate quite like myself as the game says as well, so where ever the game started you from that would be the place, let me know if you have further questions ;)

My first step for figuring out why, you can't get a mate is checking the xp level, you said you indeed hunted elk, I will have to bootup the game here and check how to check xp level, your xp level must be at least 800xp or even more. I hope this helps, I will continue figuring out your problem and testing it out for myself, I hope this little bit helps for the moment, I am so sorry for not responding sooner.

you might to buy the full version I have used the iPhone or android version and I have found that not everything is unlocked, you might have to buy the full version of your choice for ios or android, sorry

Thankyou for commenting, For my understanding, I am a male wolf and I interacted with every wolf in every wolf pack in the game, until I found a wolf quite like myself and the game told me, this is the type of wolf that is like you, and you can interact with the wolf and you will get to the point where you can start a pack and move on to the next part of the game. Is should not, the amount of xp that you have when searching for a mate determines how easy it will be to find a mate, but once you have already found your mate, the xp should only help with achieving certain levels in the new map

I am terribly sorry that you are having trouble, I can help you, but I have to ask a couple simple questions, 1. what version of wolfquest are you playing. 2. what type of device are you playing on, Windows 7 PC, Windows 10 PC, Windows 11 PC, Android or IOS or Mac. Let me know I can try to help as best as I can, also one problem on why you might not be able to find a mate is because you have to gain 800XP or more, as well

I am sorry to hear that I wish I owned anniversary edition, I still have 2.1 I think it is. My 2.7 game got corrupted and I had to erase it.

WolfQuest Anniversary is a newer one of it so that won't work this one is the older verison
