This one really took me by surprise 🥹 What did you guys think of this first episode?? ❤️

They didn't cut off the big shock in the first episode by making the whole first arc into that movie-length episode, and I applaud them for it. You don't get people "theorizing" the crazy thing for several weeks and spoiling it for people. It really did feel just like Madoka Magica in that you go in expecting a cutesy show for a younger audience but came out with EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.

Edit: originally said inspires by rather than similar to. My bad. The most recent episode was genuinely chilling, especially given that just like Ai, Akane's character is similar to what happened to a real life Japanese celebrity.

The thing that really gets me is the fact that ep 6 is based off of a tragic real life story and even put a suicide hotline at the end, it makes it impossible to look away.

The anime was a lie instead of it being a happy-go-lucky anime it's a psychological Thriller

This anime… BROKE ME- The plot twist on episode ONE was extremely well-written and well-executed. I’d 100% recommend watching it!

My friend forced me to read the manga a while ago and I am SO sad that it's only gonna be 11 episodes (Despite episode one being movie length) like ARGH there's just so much!!!

The fact that it can go from dark reality to light hearted memes at the drop of a hat is the sign of a good show. I think we found the next Madoka Magica.

The ending of the first anime DESTROYED me! I thought I knew what was gonna happen like "oh yep! This is a cliche they always pull!" But NOPE! screw that! They had to go and mes with the minds of their audience by pulling what they did...honestly I got even more excited!

I usually have a hard time getting into an anime series save for a few exceptions such as K-On, Sailor Moon, and SpyXFamily, but this one got me hooked like that.

I love the series so far it’s dark, realistic and I love it. I love when innocent things have sinister things behind closed doors. Also when a show isn’t afraid of tackling issues

not even joking this episode made me go through the 5 stages of grief. this isn't a joke, I'm serious. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance were all there. this show is wild.

I am a manga fan who hasn’t seen the anime. It was really fun to see everyone come crashing down when they expected a cute lil idol story.

After watching the first episode, I died inside, I watched this episode five times, and when three days passed, I was able to pull myself together, I was simply shocked by Ai's death, I personally think that Ai's death was beautiful, those eyes and the smile on her face, she even died beautifully, with a smile on her face, maybe it will be off topic but her death reminded me of the death of Rengoku.

Watching this recent anime was definitely worth it, the art style is indeed amazing and I'm now interested to watch the next episodes ! Thank you for the excellent & interesting video, Wolfy ! I hope you're still doing well, safe & sound. ☺️

The ed shocked me so much that after i finished the 1st episode i just sat there... for like 20 mins, and then i started to cry. That night i went to bed without even turning off my pc, didn't even brush my teeth, didn't even change into my pajamas nor did i turn off the lights in my room. i just went to bet and cried myself to sleep... i didn't function properly for 2 days afterwards.

I was into reading the manga before the anime came out. Even knowing what's to come it's still a good watch.

The part where Aqua decided what he’d do for the rest of his life (trying to be spoiler free here lol), they changed the animation style from vibrant anime, to near monochromatic chalk drawing. It just hit different. Not to mention that was the first time we ever saw the star in his eye become black.

This anime really opens my eyes on what it is like to be a celebrity who’s a worldwide sensation. Behind that role they play, they always face troubles within their personal lives, and celebrity lives. I love how this show doesn’t just focus on idol culture, but the whole entertainment industry. How everything is business. And that there are dangers lurking from god knows where. I want to be a content creator/streamer/animator, and I’m aware of the risks and dangers that I would face later on. So I’d say this anime is kinda like a preparation guide to if I become big (which I hope I do because it’s my dream). But yeah 9.5/10 and would love to read the manga just to see what happens

I hope your boyfriend was there to comfort you after that emotional rollercoaster! XD It truly has a mold breaking story that will definitely keep us all on our toes, I honestly feel like no matter what logical route we map out for this, the makes will plan for them all and find a way to sucker punch us with a twist we weren't expecting. Which, if you think about it, is brilliant.

Before it aired I read it's storyline and was about to ignore, but then I focused on "A teen pregnant Idol" "father is unknown" "Doc got reincarnated" and thought it will be a bit different. But man it turns out very crazy( I thought it would be live of reincarnated Doc with Idol mother). Opening song is just as good.

I only watched the first episode of this anime but wow, it has a really crazy start and it definitely grabbed my attention.

I feel like the Wolfychu dance gif should be over her social media tags and centered on the art showcase. The way she points matches it.

When I watched it, my sister warned me about it, but I was so prepared for it that she was shocked😂

Other than the plot twists and turns a standout for me was the amazing use of color. There are some scenes that are just so gorgeous to see. This first episode does a great job of making you really care for Ai. Don't forget the post credits scene.

Some jokes in the beginning of the first episode were kinda rough. But it literally only gets better and goes up from there. The show gradually get so genuine and handles sensitive topics so seriously the father along it goes. Normally I would see those jokes and stop watching after one too many but my friend promised me there was something good and they we so right.

I knew the plot twist, and not only did that make it more and more tense as the episode went on - I was still not prepared for just how intense it would be

wolfychu, fun fact, i was a hardcore fan of smg4 after getting reinvested into his channel, so one day i randomly decided to click one of the voice actors for one of the characters and i discovered you, now you are one of my favorite youtubers and i watch one of your videos after getting home from school everyday

This show is just great. It only took me a few days to catch up with the manga and there are a few things I can hardly wait to get animated. The crazy thing is that you never know if you get a silly moment or an emotional wreaking ball next

At first I thought this anime was overrated but after first epsoide I cried and went to read manga. I READ WHOLE 115 chapters without taking a break. This anime is not overrated or overhyped. Can't wait to watch the whole season once its finishes

Haa ok dang that is a wild ride so just wow or something. I’m not very invested in some idol culture stuff for the most parts of musical and visual arts in business entertainment; but I’m more interested on behind their music stuff with deeper content of analytical investigations on their positive and negative outlooks through the natural and artificial health conditions from their performers sometimes or whatever. I don’t know so yea haha.

well, i bought the manga after watching the anime LOL

I love alot of anime but there are certain shows that just make me feel weird before and after watching and i definitely feel like this would be one of them.

Finished the anime a few days ago after seeing it everywhere. Will definitely tune in for the second season. I started a subscription to Hidive purely for Oshi No Ko. At first, I thought this was a weird anime. It was showing up all over my KZfaq recommended and stuff. When I first read about the plot, it seemed so weird. Even more so when I started the first episode. But as I got through the first episode, I fell in love with this show, man. It really started catching my attention around episode 4-5 when social media influencers and stuff appeared. KZfaq has always been my dream. I've studied it like a hawk for a decade. I found myself going "I can relate" to "ehhh, that's not exactly how it works" to even "same." I also grew up acting and doing theater, another point allowing me to relate to the characters, lol. When it comes to social media, I've never seen my follower count go above 5k, yet I could still relate and get sucked in. When it comes to acting, although I don't act nearly as much as I used to, watching this show makes me want to get into acting and voice acting more. I felt myself relating to Aqua, editing my own videos tirelessly overnight, and having experience acting. At the same time, I kept wanting Aqua to just get into acting, like the other characters around him. Being like "cmon man, you're a talented actor!" I enjoyed this anime more than any other Spring anime, which is insane. That means I enjoyed it more than Demon Slayer and Dr. Stone, 2 animes I waited to so long for and was so hyped to watch. If you told me from a week ago that I'd like this random anime for than DEMON SLAYER AND DR. STONE, I'd never believe you! Anyway, I'll stop there. Thanks to anyone who read this. I've never had this sort of interest and connection to an anime before. I've always watched the super action-packed and unrealistic animes that pull you from irl instead of making you relate. Sorry if I came off egotistical at all. It's hard to explain how I feel I relate to this anime so much.

Too my perspectives too this anime is quite good upon the mystery vibe in the oshi no ko itself like how Aqua literally used his work opportunity as an part time actor to find many clue for who killed Ai Hoshino in manga aqua still figuring out who's the killer - Spoiler at manga The killer may not shown yet but Aqua said he had a plan and figuring out who is the killer and some theory says its wasn't who he blame at beginning...

I immediately added the OP/ED to my Apple playlist....such bangers! The singer of the OP, Yoasobi, also does the OP for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, "Shukufuku". The lead singer of the ED, Avu-chan from Queen Bee, is also the titular character in the anime movie Inu-Oh.

i read the manga and was really shocked and got teary eyes when that thing happened to ai i cant imagine what would've happened if i watched the anime maybe got a trauma?yea possible..because in hxh i read a spoiler saying rip kite and i was like wheres my tissues i wanna cry...

This is a must watch for me someday.

Oshinoko’s art style is literally gorgeous and the anime Makes you experience a lot of emotions and I’m sad for ai, that she died and she only got to tell her kids she loved them once. The only thing I would wish is for aqua to see ai as his mother but ai is literally his dream girl 😭

I want to see how this does long term wise I know it just started and it's very popular and trendy but I want to see how it develops over time so I will save that anime for later. Also going off-topic, I like seeing Wolfy's improvements in each of her videos, especially the attention to detail and the style of her character keep up the great work ill be rooting for ya.

Yep I watch the first episode and at first it was so messed up. However, when I know deepily about the idol culture, it does make sense about all the threats and weaknesses as an idol. Btw, the yosobi made a good jpop opening
