Picked them up on eBay preowned and broken in for £50. Very, very nice with miles of life left. The difference in weight might be sweaty the seller listed them as Addisons The box said Rockfords and the boots themselves and tag said Wolverine 1000 miles. Im a UK10, and sized down to a UK9.5

Mine are also on the better part of the spectrum when it comes to chromexcel. They crease pretty much the same way as yours.

Very unique and cool 1000 mile! I could be wrong but I've heard that fiberglass shanks are actually better overall and a bit more expensive than regular steel but the stigma forces brands to use steel etc. George Flagos who started Oak Street was saying something along those lines in a podcast.

Oh very interesting! I didn't know that but it definitely makes sense. A steel shank in a work boot just sounds much more rugged and appealing than fiberglass, haha.

@@BabblingBootsReviews Yeah it definitely does, and I guess people think its more natural, which I guess it is. That podcast is interesting, he basically says that people don't actually care about whats best, they just have these weird ideals. That was a cool deep dive into the 1000 mile, never seen anybody get all microscopic with the inside of a boot lol!

Honestly, fibreglass and steel perform similarly until you really really work the boot hard, then there's the chance of fibreglass breaking. Plus fibreglass shanks have the benefits of not triggering the metal detector in the airport

These boots were discontinued about 10 years ago. You got to wear them for 10 years. They didn't fall apart. You haven't resoled them. I would say that you got your money's worth. If you wear them a few more years, then resole them, you'll own them for up to 30 years.

@@BabblingBootsReviews I have several pairs of 1000 Mile Boots. My favorite is the Horween Lux Leather moc toe, with a wedge sole. The wedge sole makes all the difference for comfort.

I still cant belive it is boot build like Thursday or Corcoran boot that is half the price

Yeah, the quality is about on par with Thursdays, but I think the aesthetics of these are much better. Just like you said, this belmoral style is pretty unique!
