Just got some of the “Addison shoe co” version of these from 1997 which I’m sure is exactly the same just a different military contractor for the same boot. Added my own speed hooks with hand tools and when I get them resoled I’m gonna have this picture ready to go for how I want them to look!

Those turned out amazing. I wore those all the time back in the early 90s in the US Air Force. I hated those boots so much, but they were FREE issue so I kept wearing them.

I was a mechanic in the service 20 years ago and was issued a pair of those boots. I loved them. A couple years after my service ended someone threw the boots away. I won't name names, but he knows who he is.

I wore the same pair of military combat boots for nearly twenty years. Saddle soap, Neats Foot Oil and black dubbin kept the uppers soft and comfortable. New soles every few years.

I just found the exact same model in my closet after seeing this video. Same model, but steel toe. Surprising part is they were made 29-nov-1994. Very odd coincidence. Air Force days in Cable Maintenance. I think I’m going to have them re soled with a vibram lug. Since I still do cable work! I’m getting old. 😂

Por qué hay que asegurar la última puntada, si lo cortamos al ras no podríamos jalarlo, estas puntadas son muy duras de jalar. Por supuesto que no nos gusta desperdiciar, no es nada barato.

AWESOME!!! Absolutely fascinating video! Could you answer a few questions for us? Was the original sole an "in-house" Wolverine sole, or a branded sole? Also, the original welt had the appearance of plastic. Was it? Was the leather dried out? Amazing transformation! Simply beautiful!

MAB thanks sir!!! -it was a Nitrile sole and I’m pretty sure that’s what Wolverine were using back then I even checked on eBay and you can even find them brand new and they have the exact same sole, only the heels where cracked. -the welt was definitely made out of plastic but no cracked at all!!😲😲 - on the uppers I really got surprised, cause like I said in the video they didn’t even have a single scratch 🤔 but they were a little dry, it seemed like they never conditioned them, but only put wax!! To be honest with you, it was the first time in my small cobbler carrier 😅 that I saw a pair of boots like that, this costumer really took care of them!!! Thanks for watching MAB✋🏻

@@AaronG2480 Thanks so much for your answers! It makes it all the more interesting. I guess it makes sense that they would use a plastic welt on a military boot to keep costs down. Equipment manufactures, including companies like Wolverine, have to make bids for government contracts. So any place they can save some money...
