I've had this part for a while, but finally got around to installing it. Pretty easy for the most part, but I did have to use part of the existing hose. You'll see what I mean when you watch the video. The part is on sale right now for $29.65. Hit up wellerracing.com for all the details.

the dynojet pv3 is great. i had it on a canam sport i had. i have a review of it on my channel i was super pleased made a huge difference. ill be getting it for the rmax as well. i use a dynojet on my raptor also and their customer service is awesome as well. im installing the block off plate tonight too. great videos i really enjoy em.

I have the xtr2 and if I could change some things. 1 I'd put rain gutters on the side of the roof like they did on the front and back. I have a OEM windshield and also a back window, the cab heat is horrible. I installed the wheel well block off plates but that should have been included. Fender flares are a must.

100% agree with everything stated. The heat in the new RMAX is pretty good. I've been riding in 90 degree F weather and it's still not too bad and that's with a windshield. I REALLY hope that Yamaha makes some NICE looking fender extensions for sure! Thanks again for watching and commenting.

Hey man, thank you so much for the kind words! And thank you so much for watching the videos, I really appreciate that! As far as a dual battery setup, at this time, I don't think I'll get one going. If I did a lot of night riding or had a big stereo I would for sure do something. But who's what will happen in the future, lol! Thanks again!

So why not use a cap on the stock air injection on the valve cover? Will it blow off?

Thanks for watching. I guess you could, but I like that this just gets rid of everything and then you're left with a nice cover. If you want to put it back to stock you can do so easily.

I just got my rmax 2 , I notice that I had to start ,mine about 3 times on intial start up, before it would stay running, does this block off help this ,is the machine running lean or rich at start up, once its being running on the trail ,start ups are fine

Thanks for watching, yes, this plate will get rid of that air injection that makes it start too lean. I've noticed much better starting. I turn the key, listen for the fuel pump to prime and then crank it and it's always good.

Great channel. I purchased a R Max 4 XTR because of your channel. I have yet to drive it....does this affect your warranty at all ?

Ok, may be a silly question, but there are options to choose from, I'm stock from factory, so assume you got the one with no ECU tuning???

I'm stock as well and my ECU has not been altered, but I think I'm going to go with the Dynojet Power Vision product, so that I can mod my machine, but also return it to stock if need be.

If it was supposed to be on there Yamaha would have put it on there when designed right? are there side affects to this?

Thanks for watching, Yamaha put the air inject stuff on there for EPA compliance, since it leans out the engine during a cold start. I also have noticed on really cold days, it'll fire up but then die. With this block off plate, the engine starts easier and richer, so I'll take it.

No, no, you get a plug, but it didn't fit that great, which was sort of disappointing for sure. so you need to use their plug and a piece of hose. Thank you for watching!

Thanks for watching and the question. It helps with cold starting and it cleans up those hoses. I do notice that in colder weather my RMAX will start up better, but I also have the Weller tune, so that might do something as well.

What’s the benefits of doing this block off plate? And is it necessary to reflash the ecu?

Thank you for watching! You don't need to reflash, but it'll help. The big benefit with the block off plate is that it will help with cold starting and it gets rid of the emission hoses. I ran mine for almost a year before I got the Weller tune and it was fine, it helped with cold starting for sure.

Hey love your videos👍👍. Does the block off plate use any kind of gasket? Did you just leave the solenoid electrical connector connected?

Yep, just leave it connected. I bet if you disconnected the solenoid you'd get a check engine light... No real gasket, both surfaces looked pretty good. Probably could do a small layer of RTV if you wanted to, but I don't think it's needed. Thank you so much for watching the videos, it's greatly appreciated!

Emissions related, makes the thing lean when it starts. Damn EPA! But yeah, the RMAX can benefit from being a tad richer! Thank you for watching!

I have a feeling that this thing will start better when the temps cool off. What I did notice right away was less backfiring / popping sounds on deceleration. I also like that it removes that hose, sort of cleans things up. I like simple, lol! Thanks for watching!

I suppose you could, but I think it would look sort of odd.... Not that you're looking under the bed all the time I guess... I dunno, looks cleaner with the block off plate IMO. Appreciate the watch, thank you!

Thanks for watching! Just gets rid of the cold air injection stuff that makes it lean when starting. I have a tuner as well, so now with the block off plate and exhaust tip, it starts up perfectly even during cold weather.
