Wolverine VS Reindeer in a Blizzard

Video of a wolverine attacking and badly hurting a reindeer. We can see the reindeer fighting hard against the wolverine, but the wolverine jumps up and bites the reindeer in the neck.
The reindeer barely escapes after the film ends, with severe injuries.
The video is considered extremely rare, almost no footage at all exists of a wolverine hunting!

This must've been a nightmare for that Reindeer. You're wondering around in a blizzard, snow deep enough to half-bury trees, and you come across a...creature, that to the reindeer must've seemed like a demon straight from hell, that keeps flying at your face. Kinda like that alien creature that attaches itself to your face when it emerges from the egg. Great to see a wolverine in real action.

Lions eat their preys while they are still alive sometimes, bears eat salmons while they are alive, many fishes eat swallow smaller fishes alive. The horns are not for fighting other animals. They're antlers and are for mating. They grow out based on the nutrition the reindeer has been able to gain in a season. A well-nourished reindeer will have big antlers thereby convincing a cow to mate with him.

Something so poetic about this video. When she says she needs to conserve power it's exactly what the wolverine was doing, then when she asked why the other two weren't doing anything the man replied "nothing they can do" and all the while they are also viewing them. Trying to conserve their power and unable to help the deer. Nature is amazing.

It's looked like a young wolverine. Weight of a young wolverine is about 8 to 10 kg. The reindeer there was adult female with estimated weight 70 to 80 kg. Weather there was wolverines weather. They kill a lot of reindeers in weather like that. And because the weather it is wery rare to see wolverines attack. Adult 13-20 kg wolverine can kill reindeer with one bite to neck. Young ones need practise. Wolverine can bite trought every bone of reindeer easily. Even bear respects those jars with letting hungry wolverine eat first.

You hear stories of wolverines taking on animals way bigger than itself like bears and moose but it's kind of hard to imagine without making it a cartoonish Hollywood action scene. Being able to see this actually happening is amazing. Imagine if wolverines or other members of the weasel family were the size of wolves. They'd be unstoppable. They wouldn't have to fear anything, barely be afraid of humans.

Stoats, relatives of wolverines (basically tiny weasels) have the biggest record for weight of predator to weight of prey ratio. 258 grams of stoat can take down 5 KILOgrams of hare, and they typically eat the whole hare in one sitting. That's about the same as you killing a cow by punching it then eating the entire thing in one sitting.

Wolverines are one of the most tenacious, best stamina hunters and trackers on the planet. Everything they hunt will tire out before they do. When the reindeer runs away, and it will, the wolverine will track it down and repeat the lunge attacks, eventually the reindeer will tire from blood loss and exhaustion and be killed.
