I actually think it was a really good detail on the actor's part: the person that's going to grab you when you try to rush out like this isn't going to be one of the people wasting energy panicking and screaming, it's going to be the one with the "cool" response who goes into analysis mode during emergencies, and those of us who do are going to become more aware of our surroundings, so we look focused and present in these situations. I felt it with this actor, it was fucking cool.

​@@hyperfox0934 also works out perfectly well with his character as he is supposed to be one of the leaders He really showed his leader characteristics through out this scene as Thomas was restless and Newt was calm even though he knew what was gonna happen, yet didn't try to force a change on it Gally too, Gally also has great leadership qualities but he also has his weaknesses which always leaves him second in command and not fit as a leader

He can't afford to look scared even if he is, in these situations as a leader he has to remain calm because if the leader freaks out and if he's seen freaking out then how are the rest of the people supposed to react They look up to the leader, and he has to lead them so he can't afford to show a negative front Which is why throughout the series you'll notice Newt with a positive mind

@Johnnnn CENAAA The guy that is being dragged died soon after that. The guy trying to drag him survived. Newt is the blonde one that tries to grab the one running(Thomas). Newt dies in the last movie. Sorry if that didn't make sense.

It's a movie series 'The maze runner'

Explaination SPOILERS So basically the story starts with a man (Thomas, the guy who ran in) is risen up from an underground elevator and the place he ends up in is basically a huge place that is basically a big civilization and he gets really scared at first but starts to settle in. Soon he finds out the only way to escape is through the maze. There are people called maze runners who’s job it is to look through the maze to find an escape, but the maze changes every night so it’s pretty much impossible. There are these things that sting you and there is basically no cure so thats also a problem, but one day when the maze runners go in one gets sting (the guy being carried) so they don’t make it out in time but right before the door closes Thomas runs in and now they are all stuck, while they are trying to get out they find these spider things that almost kill them but they end up getting out the next day by a miracle and they go back in the next day to try and find a way out and they find some sort of door, i forgot to mention this but it is all men and the next person to come up is a woman and she has a note that says she is the last one, they make a plan to escape, but the night before they leave the spider things (grievers) come out of the maze and attack them killing so many, the next day they escape, a few die but after they get out they end up in a lab and find out it was all a test. There are 2 other movies too that i haven’t watched yet.
