Did anybody know that, "The Korean Guy", Hwang was Haaland's team mate at Salzburg. Watch Liverpool vs Salzburg match. Liverpool was leading 3-0. Salzburg cameback to 3-3, goals from Hwang, Minamino & Haaland, but lost 4-3.😊😊😊

I’m Korean. It’s funny that he said Hwang as the Korean guy. I don’t think it’s offensive, it sounds more like praising Koreans to me.

Nah it's not offensive but he could have avoided that social media drama by simply asking the journalists the name of the third forward. Hwang is a Korean guy as much as Pep is a spanish guy and I'm a french guy.

Not a major issue but it's easy to ask the name or say you just don't know it and identify him after as Korean. But in reality, Hwang is the top scorer he had to have known about him on the scout report, so he just looks ignorant for not remembering it and just calling him Korean.

Offensive? No. Unprofessional? Yes. Most coaches in any sport might not know the name but usually will know the player's number when commenting about a player. He could have said Neto with Cuna and No. 11..

@@michaelhardwick7298 Are you a newbie to watching sports? Every coach in any sports will refer to the player's number if they don't know the name. If a coach is going to comment about a player being good, he must have at least watched some film on the player. I don't expect the coach to remember all the names of the players. But if he can't even remember the player's number he just watched a film of, the coach obviously didn't pay enough attention. That is definition of being unprofessional.

Real talk, english isn't pep's first language and to be fair if I didn't consume a lot of international media Korean names would be hard for me too because they are quite unique and different to naming conventions in then west. But yeah, considering you should've studied the team beforehand and should know the important players...forgetting the name of a guy your about to face and then losing to them is karma incarnate.

I don't think it was racist but it was slight even if unintentional because of ANY current Premier League manager, Pep would have seen more of Hee Chan's vids, just due to watching Haaland highlights and scounting videos. 30% of Haaland' RBL goals was in combination wit Hee Chan Hwang
