A close series will always come down to which superstars perform. The Mavs have 2, the Wolves have 1 who's very young. Ant shot 19/56 in games 5-7. Kyrie has championship experience, Luka has it as well in Europe. I think they know they're close and will elevate even more in this series.

One team does has a 4x DPOY while Dallas’ leader is more focused on the refs than the game at hand. Attitude reflects Leadership, and Luka is not good enough of a leader for his team to get over the hump

Yup length plus straight. And he has speed compared to other bigs. He's for sure gonna be key. I think an underrated weapon for the wolves is nickel walker. Someone who's gonna spark the offense and defense if things become stagnant

Won’t happen, that’s how he plays. He reacts and tries to find an answer for everything. He doesn’t try to control the game, he just takes what you give him and counters it, when he wants his respect, he demands it! We have to take into account that the Timberwolves will most definitely have Jaden McDaniels' pickup point on Luka be the inbound. With as much responsibility with Luka has, and how many minutes he has to play, as well as his knee injury, Luka will most definitely be battered. With Minnesota's youth and the fact that they're energized from playing defense, makes me think that they win the grind, winning in 6 games after it's tied 2-2.

Both Clippers and Thunder struggled with rebounds against Mavericks. Mavericks also got a lots easy buckets since they have advantages in the paint against those 2 teams. And this won't be the case for Wolves. Once all the offense pressure are under luka and Kyrie, Mavericks will be in trouble.

Thats the reason why I want the match up of luka to mcdaniels. If the nuggets won that series i think gordon can cope up with the strength of Luka. Mcdaniels and walker are too small for luka. Very different in terms of attack points. Jokic is primarily posting up or operating in the middle of the floor, while Luka is much more perimeter iso and spread P&R oriented like LeBron or Harden.

This is going to be an incredible series…but the wildest scenario I just thought of is Minnesota beating them in 5. I think people are genuinely underestimating how incredible of a defensive team they are. I truly believe the winner of the Wolves and Nuggets will be the eventual NBA champion & the Nuggets are a better team than the Mavericks. The Wolves have it all.

U remember a young Luka going up against one of the greatest defenders ever assemble a few years ago? His center was Dwight Powell and he torched prime Kawhi/PG. If his knee is better then OKC series, even Minnesota's defense will have a hard time with Luka Da Don.

Wolves were the #1 defense over the whole season, however Mavs were the #1 defense in the last 20 games of the regular season. I honestly think you're underestimating the impact of the Mavs defense against the Wolves, who were only a middle of the pack offensive team during the regular season, even though they've stepped up in the playoffs. I expect this series to be a 2000s style slugfest where the games are low-scoring and very defense-focused by both teams. I don't agree that the winner of Wolves and Nuggets win the chip. The Denver we saw this post-season was sloppy, sluggish, and overall unimpressive outside of Nikola Jokic. Both of these teams (Mavs & Wolves) are stronger than the Nuggets and are capable of slaughtering a coddled Celtics team that has been able to breeze through the weak teams of the Eastern Conference. I do not believe they will be able to withstand the onslaught of the Western Conference Champion even if the series goes to 7.

Half of the Mavs' portion was about Minnesota's defense lol The battle of Dallas' O and Minnesota's D is clearly the most important thing (just like in the Denver series)
