Nope. He paid 10 years because he failed to take care of business - he didn't know if he was or wasn't the father. They don't pay back child support. My friend got a letter in the mail requesting child support for a child that he knew wasn't his. He made a few phone calls got a DNA test and they threw out the child support case.

However, he stated he never received a notice/letter, never appeared in court and that was not his last name (it’s spelled wrong) on the birth certificate. This is fraudulent. The mother stated/testified in a court of law, “the judge asked her who do you want to be the father?” And this was done without an court appearance or death certificate? I believe she stated this was Florida. Florida can’t count votes during the past five Presidential Elections: How is it they decide Mr. Downing is the father? If he is in the arrears and these payments are injuring his young child and maybe a spouse: He may have a case. He needs to lawyer up.

In some states it is difficult for the man to get his money back in situations like this because before he paid all those years he could have petitioned the court for a dna test back then. Continuing to pay that CS means he accepted the paternity claim (or the responsibility). Got a cousin going thru this now. I doubt FL giving him his money back.

Make that a change petition and contact local officials. Also mandatory paternity test. More action less talk.

Nope..two ways.. birth certificate or- the signature to participate make you eligible for the program.. because Child Support is a voluntary program and when he was being sued by the court he was supposed to show proof. According to the Supreme Court, child support supports grant funding and is not for the child and the mother. Its a contract between the state and the man. There was no crime committed so you have to volunteer in signature to participate. smh
