The second case, with Mr "men can conquer all and woman are nothing", I have no sympathy for him what so ever. If someone is being cheated on so frequently and not being cared for at all, they're going to seek companionship outside the relationship that they probably are to scared to leave. With his kind of mentality, and the gaslighting that was going on, she had no option but to seek companionship with someone she felt safe with, and that just happened to be her ex.
