I am working now to try to break that cycle. I left an abusive husband. I've been married now for 25 years, he's smart, witty, keeps my brain happy, makes me laugh. He's not perfect, can be a little lazy lol but I take the bad with the good. I had a similar experience in 1990 I was broke and alone and constant pain when in the middle of the night I heard a voice from deep within my mind say "You have nothing to fear I am always with you" It was the same voice that spoke to me when I was over the other side while on the wrong end of CPR in 1980. This is important to remember in an age when media (TV, press, radio, facebook, etc) tell us what we should do or think. We might imagine we are immune to this, but it's very hard to resist.
