Woman Gets Message in a Bottle From Her Father 95 Years Later

2 жыл бұрынBoat captain Jennifer Dowker gives tours of shipwrecks in her glass bottom boat. One day when she was cleaning the windows, she made a discovery that shocked her. It was a green glass bottle with what appeared to be a note inside. After carefully removing the wet paper from the bottle, she realized it had been cast into the water nearly one hundred years ago. She was able to track down the daughter of the man who wrote the note in 1926.

Man, that's awesome!!! This is really stuff that I like.. It's been there for so many years.. And while it was resting on the bottom, so much things happened.. World War 2 for instance.. So much has changed! A really nice and personal piece of History right there, glad it was saved! 👍

I did this in 1995. Letter in a bottle, my Dad said to use a pencil so it won’t disappear. He Properly sealed the bottle as much as possible before we threw it into the ocean. The idea of it coming back is still something I think of most days!

I put a note in a bottle in the Ohio River when I was like 10 and at some point a woman and her daughter found it and we've been Facebook friends for like 3 years now and she's super awesome! She had lost the paper but she remembered my info and found me one day 😄

Wow what a coincidence. Im planning a fishing trip up north for October. I was looking on maps and seen the city Cheboygan. I've heard of it before but never really knew where it was.
