But less than two months after beginning the road trip of a lifetime with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, Petito has disappeared. Laundrie returned to his home in North Point, Florida, with the van, but Petito was not with him, her family said.

@@DelcoAirsoft you don’t have to cover up accidental deaths if you aren’t guilty in some way. Is he choked her during sex and she died “accidentally” seems to be a fairly usual excuse. Hiring a lawyer kinda speaks volumes but with no body if she’s some place well hidden this could take some time to hash out. Can’t just arrest him for a disappearance gotta get the story and timeline down. He looks like a punk that’ll crack under a little pressure from good cop bad cop or one or 2 nights getting his butthole and guts rearranged in jail.

Ye something doesn't add up when they say he doesn't cooperate. Its either he left her without nothing, (or as @Delco Airsoft said) killed her, or she accidentally died or someone outside killed her(say robber shot her). And if the boyfriend killed her the questions why and how appear:cheating?money?

I think the fact he is avoiding law enforcement and decided to hire a lawyer is the biggest red flag of them all. The dude hasn't even been considered a suspect yet and he is already preparing for the interrogation and the court dates.

If he was innocent then he wouldn't have come back alone, lawyer up and plan to remain silent about someone who he was in love with when she's especially been looked for. Therefore he really did something bad to her and thats why he lawyer up and remained silent. Also now his missing.

It's hard to draw any other conclusion. Now the question is a simple one: can they find her body? My guess? They were deep in some national park when he killed her, then left her for the wolves and he figures all he has to do is plead the fifth, assuming they'll never find the body.

They have spoke to both parties, both adults and both saying the same thing - fall out while stressed etc. The lady who reported the fallout to the police was a star because now we see a different side of things. But the police did nothing wrong at all, although hindsight's a wonderful thing.

No. He's just being smart. Never talk to the police without a lawyer. If you don't have one present, don't talk. He could accidently incriminate himself. Personally I think he knows what happened(or he may be responsible too). But getting lawyer doesn't mean he's guilty.

Maybe there was a legitimate accident and the boyfriend freaked out phoned his dad on the way back home told him everything and then the father told the son don't talk to the police just talk to you're lawyer. Because I know he looks VERY guilty right now... but if it was an accident you know damn well the father of that daughter will not belive that! And will easily try to prosecute him . Boom 50 years in prison for an accident . In any situation you ALWAYS talk to youre lawyer and never the police.

An innocent fiancé would’ve acted in the following manner: - if she was missing for maybe 1-2 hours at a national park and she doesn’t answer her phone, his ass should’ve been calling a park ranger or something. - do not leave the area without her no matter what! - if they can’t find her by then, call the family immediately to let them know what’s going on and maybe even have them fly to where he is to help in the search. But nah, he did none of those things and did what a guilty person would do: fled the scene and went home without her IN HER VAN, work on the van behind fencing when he got home, and lawyered up! Just disgusting!

That sinking feeling really set in because we all know she’s dead and we all know the boyfriend is to blame. It’s so messed up. He needs to stop being a coward and admit it to give the poor girl’s family some closure.

Why can't they at least book him for stolen vehicle? I mean it doesn't belong to him. It belongs to Gabby. Why did he have it in his possession without Gabby; parked at his home? I also don't understand how he can stonewall the police. Almost insinuating 'no body, no crime'. I would think the prior domestic disturbance reported by concerned bystanders isn't enough to grill him. People been yammering that he is innocent until proven guilty, but an innocent man doesn't come back alone in his fiancé's vehicle showing no concern as to where she is and what happened to her, then lawyers up, and refuses to speak to law enforcement or Gabby's family.

I have had a lot of female friends who married charming psychopaths who abused them and then acted charming in public and the women protected them to stop them from being arrested in alteractions early in their relationship but it escalated to the point where they were so afraid of being murdered that they got out. It is so common.
