@@0397rb that makes no difference to me! ALL ANIMALS are God’s creatures with rights just as much as humans and THEY ALL deserve a chance at life regardless of their species and killing them just because of what they do is just plain wrong!! People who do things like that make me sick!

It is a great idea. It’s somewhat similar to what my family did with my dog Bindi before she passed away a couple months ago at nearly 14 years old. She was an obsessive licker and she would often lick her front right paw till it got sore and infected. Whenever it did we would have to put vet-prescribed medication on it but she still wouldn’t stop licking and one time it even ended up with her getting a sore on her face. So rather than get “the cone of shame,” my mom bought a few pairs of baby socks at the store and used waterproof tape to keep the sock on her paw, so Bindi would lick the sock and not the paw.

@TCWRebelsResistanceWords I’m so very very sorry for your recent loss of Bindi. As the owner of a 14-month old Cavoodle named Bowie, I can’t even imagine how incredibly painful a time this must be for you (I dread that day). Please take some comfort in knowing that all animal lovers (particularly dog owners) collectively understand it & feel your pain. Bowie occasionally also has moments where he’ll become a bit fixated on chewing his right paw, though it’s not quite obsessional (it started when he had to have a drip put in during a vet visit). As someone with a Behavioural Science (Psychology) degree I have typically relied on “positive reinforcement” distraction techniques, but I really like your idea with the sock & will definitely incorporate it if it ever becomes obsessional. Thank you for your comment. I‘m sending you & your family some well wishes during this particularly difficult period for you all. Depending on your personal circumstances, perhaps another dog one day (if you don’t already have one) may offer some additional comfort in the future. Please take care.

@@carlmullerlane aww thank you 😊 I’ve had a really hard time dealing with Bindi’s loss lately so much so that I even had to buy myself a stuffed animal that looks like her and I’ve been taking it with me everywhere around the house

Probably, land owners assume they'll do damage to the environment, lumping them in w moles, gophers, coyotes, turtles, etc so they just shoot them. Unfortunate, but they just don't want to deal w humane solutions which takes more time.

You're also a hypocrite. Beavers and many other animals get killed mining for lithium to produce that battery in your phone, laptop, and many other electronic devices you use. They also get killed to produce the home you live in. Are you ready to give that all up and live in a cave? If not stop crying about it, you hypocrite.

Humans spend so much time on climate change when equal or more time needs to be spent on saving the planet’s wildlife. People are the animals.
