Mr. Hunter, you have shown how the system is supposed to work, on both sides. You can hear the difference in the mans voice, the realization that there is more to this world, to life and being a real man. Very well done sir, hold your head high. The journey you have made is so very admirable. Raise that little girl with the lessons you have learned, share your story as an inspiration to others and may you and your family live a blessed life. The fact that you have Judge Simpson and Probation both advocating for you at least as hard as your attorney says volumes.

The last case was heart warming. Instead of extending his probation to have more time to pay his fines, Judge Simpson said ya know, I've seen a big change, forget the money, you've done everything I've asked of you, you're good. You're free. Be a good dad. To me that feels like justice has been served.

@user-ie2hp9sl2o It really does bring hope. Unfortunately, a lot of people feel that the word 'mercy' is profane, but there is a place for it in our system - in our collective soul, in a way. America has more prisoners per capita than any other country on earth. And it's not because we've got more 'bad people'. It is a matter of urgency that our prisons become more than monster factories: part of that is to ensure that non-violent offenders have separate quarters from violent criminals. This is very subjective, I realize, but imo, unless an enormous spiritual transformation occurs here - and I don't mean a religious one - the metasticizing hatred will be our undoing. Paz y luz... and long live Judge Simpson 😊

Mr. Hunter is the definition of giving his all! When he started in on the "I couldn't pay because I have to care for my daughter" I thought it was going to be a BS excuse. After listening to him and the prosecutor and lawyers and such.... he truly was trying to do right and turn things around and be a good father while giving whatever is left to the courts and not making empty excuses! I don't know this man but I am so proud of him and I hope he keeps it up and becomes the kind of father his daughter will always be proud of ❤️ mistakes were made and he owned them and worked to get back! I don't ever want to hear excuses in court from anyone ever again after hearing how this man had to pull himself together!

When the DA is on your side and the judge is asking what caused you to grow up?... Even a blind person could see exactly where Judge Simpson is going to go with this. Love judge Simpson's good old common sense, compassion, and fairness for the people before him. This is a good reason for probation over jail sentence. It combines consequences with rehabilitation of a defendant. Some people just need a wake up call to get their life in order. Wishing Hunter the best of luck going forward.

The first case, guilty or no, that is how a smart defendant behaves: tons of respect, honest/honest-ish(?), doesn't interrupt, no/limited swearing, keep calm cool and collected, trust her public defender (who are amazing in this district, honestly, they are impressive). Simpson gives respect when given respect and while buttering him up, or cursing him out will not likely dramatically affect his amazingly-consistent and just decisions, they can sway him if he is on the fence about something. So.....be smart and behave yourself for the brief amount of time you are in court (and really we should all always be courteous). 🙂

@@neurohack9038 World Vasectomy Day is held in November each year. On that day men can get FREE vasectomies and they can also get free vasectomies year round especially if you're homeless and unable to financially afford the procedure. Wow, if Ms Collier is the one I read about online then she is NOT a classy lady -- back in 2004 she and her lesbian lover bludgeoned her own grandmother with a claw hammer and then doused the body on fire. They then went to the cinema (Jeepers Creepers to be exact) to get their minds off what they had done. All because the old lady was against the relationship. Oh yeah, real classy!
