Kids cost money. And a lot of it. Oh and paying child support doesn't make you a good father. I saw another one of your comments saying that women shouldn't have custody of boys over the age of 10 because we don't know anything about how they should be raised. Let me tell you this, women deal with scumbag men every single day and I promise you we want to raise our sons to be everything that they aren't. You sound like a bitter baby daddy. And I coparent with my ex. He pays support and sees them all the time. No court orders. Nothing. Cause we're adults. Men can barely take care of themselves let alone another human being.

And to think the mother was absolutely in the dark about how he would be as a parent is the epitome of naïveté. He already had a 19 year old and I’m sure she saw him interact with that child for years before they had a child together. It baffles me that people don’t consider the type of parent their partner is going to be BEFORE they choose to have kids with them. He was undoubtedly a bad father to his other son so why choose to have a child with a man you know beforehand is a bad father? Makes no sense.

How they treat others in general. How respectful they are to people. How they talk about their exes. If a person never cooks, they are not going to be a great parent, male or female. IN MY VIEW I think the father has a communication problem. I have seen this before. When a level of stress takes place the brain gets confused and the person has trouble thinking clearly. His stressed confusion pattern stayed consistent. I felt bad for him. I would love to hear a body language expert conclusion .

I agree. There seems to be a genuine layer of confusion that he can't escape from, maybe he's just nervous. Of course he could spend more time with his son, but I don't think he's slow or even as malicious as some may think.

No, he clearly states that he doesn’t remember, wasn’t watching the time, but he had plenty of time prior to trial to search through his messages to at least be accurate about that one day. He’s just not used to being held accountable or answering for his lack of parenting. They were going through court after 2 years of inconsistent visitation, probably because she asked for child support and now he’s worried about how his lack of involvement will affect the support amount.

He doesn't have a communication problem. He has a 'telling the truth' problem. If he seems confused it's because Judy is 10 steps ahead of him and he can't think up lies fast enough or keep up with them. He's a loser of a father. Period.

Ok, I honestly don't get why the judge is going after this guy. Most people don't watch the clock like a hawk and it doesn't actually sound like he agreed to the change of time for the son going home. It sounds more like the mom just decided it without making sure he didn't already have plans. Even she kind of admitted that she didn't ask and just told him that he was keeping the son longer. Yes, a lot of fathers would love to have more time with their kid, yet it's common courtesy to at least ask. I really hate it when someone is judged guilty as a bad father because they are trying to respect agreements made and a woman is considered innocent just because she's a woman,and this is coming from a woman. She didn't even say that he actually agreed to keep their son longer and just expected it. She really should have gotten conformation before leaving and bring proof that he did. Even the judge is calling him a liar without evidence and forcing him to say whatever she wants to prove it.

@@tilabryant5591 You're saying he's a dead beat dad based on what exactly? That he's terrible at remembering dates and doesn't keep time very well? Or are you basing it on what the woman says and a bias judge? I don't know the dead beat dad mentality because I'M A FREAKING WOMAN!!! I just don't side with women just because a woman must always be right. Also, did everyone just miss the part where the lady said that she told him that she would pick their son up at this time and never actually asked if he was even available for that long? She even said it as she was going over that day. Now, if she had actually asked and had do so days before, like when they were actually coming up to the agreement, then he would indeed be a jerk, but she didn't ask nor confirm so she doesn't get to be mad he didn't just do as she said.
