A member of the audience at a debate tells Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema that the Khoisan are the only legitimate voice to talk about land in SA. Malema took on Clem Sunter, one of SA’s most prominent authors and scenario planners, in a two-round debate organised by the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Cape Sun on Friday, February 12.

One African Iconic said: ''Whenever I am fighting for Africa my motherland, I only use one hand, because while I am using one to defeat the enemies, the other is to confront my African brothers who fight against me". I think it was just a prophecy.

At the same time understanding globalisation. We can't talk of confining ourselves to primitive principles because of a brotherhood that is no brotherhood at all. We have African institutions that does not work. Why have we failed to establish and implement real things that work. We think we are brothers but our classes know the brotherhood. The elite has its own brotherhood, the middle class its own brotherhood, the poor their own brotherhood. The elite are more advanced and have their own global brotherhood of the elite, to say they are our brothers is just rhetoric because they just want to remind us we are brothers when voting comes. We are not even related to them when there are no elections. So in the end like the Marxists say, this is a class problem and class struggle rather that a racial, ethnicity issue

Khoi-Sans was not brought here to South Africa on British elites slave ships ,they have been here for 14,000 years ,so in other words the Nguni and the white people are settlers, they both arrived here on ships ,but Dutch arrived here in 1652 ,and marriages between Khoi ladies and Dutch sailors happened ,the Khoi people were referred to by the Dutch as (strandlopers) beach goers ,and lived off sea food ,the British arrived here in 1820 bringing their slaves with them on ships making the Dutch outdate the British and the Nguni people by almost 200 years .

The Nguni came with Ships?😮.... Even if I could ask you now where did the Khoisan begin their movement in and around Southern Africa, you won't know. They are us and we are them (Africans), and Africans did move around in Africa settling as they go about, just like Europeans did. Hence in the ancestry of a Russian there is also a bit of Scandanavia. The difference is that Europeans matured past that point if history, they are happy to keep you and me there (divided).

The Tswana people's cultural heritage and clothes are what the Khoisan people wore and their dances. She's not wrong but the black people are also Khoisan. Coloured people are a mixture of races which were created in Apartheid and involved anyone who was mixed. Most of them don't even have abit of Khoisan blood for her to be boldy saying what she's saying, she's Coloured and not Khoisan, learning a few Khoisan words doesn't make her Khoisan. Black people have lived alongside the Khoisan for about 200 years before white people got here. This lady is confused, the Khoisan are also our ancestors as black people.

I completely agree with her on the oppression/discrimination faced by the Khoisan in South Africa and the Bantu should be ashamed of themselves for neglecting their fellow African. She is however lost on the other part. Africa or Alkebulan was one before colonization by the Asian (Middle East Asia) and Europeans/Americans. The Khoisan and Hadza are the same and probably this lady wouldn't know that, but they exist countries apart because of migration and nomadism. Much like the Bantu the Khoisan migrated south from Central and East Africa for reasons known to them (normally safety, water and food drove migration) but some still exist in those areas. The Khoisan have unfortunately existed in exclusion in most places they occupy because of their way of life, this has made a fertile ground to easily isolate them in the countries they exist in. Today I am glad they are speaking up for themselves even though a whole lot of damage has been done to their people. They should join the Bantu and be one for the Land Back issue. We are all children of the Soil in Alkebulan

However the were Norman's, and like all people who don't stay in one place there's a chance someone else to come and stay in the place your previously stayed in. Let's not kid ourselves and think the Khoi San were all over this land. The Nguni tribes were the 1st to claim the land and stay in it. They farmed as well. So this notion that the Khoi San were the 1st owners, can be disputed.

Very interesting ... There is an undercurrent I see here that will grow. If the Bantu attacked her people and now seek to control the land after the expulsion of the invaders, this could end very badly for the entire country. S. Africa needs a Tribal Council of Elders that guide or are integrated into their political leadership to assuage the historical rivalries that still exist, but are currently subdued. If this is not done, once the money starts flowing they will rip themselves to pieces. In essence, she challenged his authority and he didn't have a leg to stand on. He soft shoed around the issue which is ... from where does he draw his moral authority to determine the land distribution and/or control? A Tribal Council would go a long way in ameliorating the resolution of these disputes as they arise. This is how the Invaders got all that land in the first place. They are coming full circle.

Kķkkkkk so for Malema it's about race not the truth. Africans were fighting invading and colonising each other before the imperialists came. We had our own kingdoms and tribal wars, we had our own dynasties and that's sort of thing. It's only that the whites came with a new system of government that became centralized than we were used to. They brought new economic systems and a new way of life. But the lady is correct to say do not just start history where it suits you. It seems I'd history was to be revisited as it was we Africans will be found fighting each other again. We were cruel to each other before we even experienced the cruelty of the whites. Anyway being black does not make one an African. Being white doesn't make one a foreigner either. You cannot be regarded a foreigner when born and bred in a country and you are working hard to develop that country. Only because of ideological differences and approaches do we start to talk of others as foreigners. Only because of our class struggles do we start to find historical justifications and explanations

Malema, & even the so-called KhoiSan woman (I’d verify her DNA profile) forget a number of things: 1. Africa in both name & “continent” designation are White man’s names. As is the Africa-Eurasia land mass they’re a part of. Therefore, by Malema’s logic, even the Chinese are indigenous to South Africa. 2. KhoiSan once roamed from Cape Agulhas to as far north as Kenya. Why is only the Cape under discussion? I guess because the Bantu annihilated them everywhere else? And the Whites failed to do so too? 3. By the way, when the hell did this idea that the land belongs to one group because they walked around it first? If you just take a dump everywhere & make no effort to settle & defend your territory, how do you justify claiming any land anywhere on this Earth!? And when was this law made?

She may not be 100%, but few Koi San have access to education, so the most likely they chose her to represent them. By the way Mandela was part Koi San, you can see it in his features. If he was alive I'm sure he would have whole-heartedly agreed with her.

Lol and where were the xhosa? Dyou even know that the Xhosa were the first black people to fight against colonialism after the Khoi were defeated and enslaved in the Cape? Dyou know that the Khoi joined the Xhosa in fighting against settlers? The Xhosa were not part of mfecane, they had their first battle against settlers in 1789 when Shaka Zulu was 2 years old.
