That was a mock charge by the elephant. That guys rifle didn't change a thing. Him standing still and being calm is why the elephant didn't attack. And that elk is tired of a bunch of cars and people in his territory.

The first one on the island. She did not get him directly in the face. She shot it twice. The first time you see the wind take it to the right. She should have been more alert and pointed the spray the second time a little more to the left. When a bear gets hit with it directly in his eyes, he's out of there.

The one where he breaks the kayak, I don't think most people appreciate how horrific that one is. The bear probably knew he was taking away her only way off the island. And in Alaska, most of those places have 0 reception anywhere and are very remote. A float plane went down on Admiralty Island and it took them 9 years to find it.

A grizzly can rip a car door off or break a window to get at a human. In Montana you can see trucks driving around with huge dents in their sides.. Looks like it hit a tree sideways.. That's what a bison can do, then shake their head & walk away..
