The same thing happened to me....I bought a ring once for $5 at a flea market.....something about the ring raised suspicion so I took it to be valued......it turned out the ring was actually worth $3.

My hair has turned grey while listening to this story. My 2 year old (when I started watching this video) is now graduating.

Jewelry business seems to be lucrative and productive but requires patient ,hardwork and. Adequate consistency at the beginning for it to grow,just few have this patient

My wife bought a bracelet from a garage sale for $25, she gave it to our daughter for a birthday present, our daughter had it appraised and it turns out that the bracelet was worth $12,000. It was a bracelet made in Germany in WWII that the German soldiers made for their mothers as something to remember them by due to the chance that they might not return from war and that there were only about a dozen or so of these bracelets in excistance so you never know what you will find at a flea market or garage sale

At a yard sale, An acquaintance bought a piece of junk jewlery ,a dirty bracelet with zircons, for her granddaughter. She took it to her jeweler for cleaning. He advised her that the metal was platinum and the stones were all diamonds! She paid a quarter and it was worth at minimum 50k!

Longest story short, lady bought a $13 ring and wore it for 30 years without knowing it was a real diamond ring worth $850,000 sold at an auction. Just saved you 7:38 minutes of your life!

How could so many people be complaining about the length of the video. It's a story, not a synopsis. Appreciate the time and effort it took for this man to create it. If it was to the point, people would still complain about something. If you don't like the length of it fast forward to The End. ✌

I do think it's sweet that she bought it to make herself happy and as a reminder to be positive that she would be ok and the ring was just waiting for her to discover that it was really there to make things better and ok!

I had a similar situation. My grandpa bought a bunch of jewelry in an estate sale. My grandma sent some of it up to me and it turns out one of the rings was a yellow gold/platinum setting with a half carrot diamond. Cut in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Used it as the main stone in my first engagement ring. 💍

Someone in my hometown also had the same incident , she bought a ring for 3$ and went to a jewelry shop and offered her 100,000$ she thought he was joking until she went to another shop who also gave her the same value estimation of that diamond ring and realized later it was the real deal :) i heard she tried to find the real owner of that ring but i dont know what happened.

A friend is a “rock hound” and would pickup rocks all the time to time and shape them. One day he stopped at a garage sale and bought someone’s collection. My wife had a beautiful one K diamond ring. We were fishing from a boat in a large deep lake in CA when she took it off, because It was catching on her fishing reel. She accidentally dropped it into the water! Five years later, I was cutting up a fish that I had caught in that same lake, when suddenly, my knife struck something hard. It was the bone in my thumb.

Just now I was standing in the checkout line at wholefoods and this lady was also eyeing my earrings 😂 and she told me those my style of diamond jacket earrings are definitely vintage and quite rare and no one makes those anymore!! Made me want to look into it more so I did a search and found this video and laughed when I heard the similar story. my mother bought a silver ring for $5 at a flea market back in 1989....she only wore it couple of times cause it was fashion....she said that everyone used to ask her about her cheap ring cause it called the attention....it was tarnished...and the stone was really dark in the inside....one day a good friend of the family that happens to be a jeweler took a look and examined the ring just cause she asked him to clean....HE FOUND OUT THAT THE RING IS A REAL DIAMOND....AND ITS VALUE IS AROUND $5000...SHE CLEANED AND OF COURSE SHE STILL HAS IT.!!!!!

I once went to a flea market. I got a flat tire and it started to rain, after struggling with the jack came to find out the lug nuts were so tight I slipped in the mud and spotted a gold gleam through the sand. Fortunate for me and you could imagine my surprise the gold gleam was actually my car keys had fallen from my jacket. Apparently a hole had been worn in my jacket pocket. This jacket was 100% genuine cow leather and had been given to me by my grandfather whom I had always loved dearly. He was a kind old man who had a hearty laugh. One day he laughed so hard it put him in the hospital, strangely the hospital was very near where I got the flat tire. I thought to myself what a strange set of coincidences. Of course my grandfather is home now, he loves to sit by the fire, especially on a rainy day. Crimey, I wish it would stop raining. Oh yeah where was I? Mud was everywhere...

S friend of mine bought a ring from an Estate sale for ,$5, she put it away but something kept telling her to have it checked to see if it had any value so she took it to her jewlery store. They kept it a few days and they called her to come get it.. when she got to the store she was told that the red dtoned were actually rubies and the cleaner white stones were diamonds. The mounting was platinum. She thought it was silver. They estimated the value at $10,000 dollars
