The death penalty is weird concept for me if you think that someone has done some truly horrific things without remorse. Seeing as you'd also give a beloved pet or family member in severe pain the same ending, without trying to sound like a dick. Lifetime in prison with someone working their darndest on getting the catch that keeps him from feeling bad for what he did to click loose. Then a lifetime of guilt. *That* imo, is a punishment. The only good one I can imagine, without becoming savages ourselves. So in that case, they will break the searching teams (around 10-20 members) into smaller groups and find in different direction. So anyway, they would not miss her, or slower the process.

She seemed to have seen them from the window while they were trying to find the house (probably walked away from the one she was in, not knowing it was that one) so she told the operator to tell them to come back because it was the right one

The details the abductee was very vague, she didn't know the street or number, just landmarks. So the operator is doing her best to get as much details as possible. If she's able to identify a laundromat across the street, she may have other details.
