Seventy-five-year-old Barbara Cramer from Fort Pierce, Florida, has achieved something incredible: she’s worked at McDonald’s for 53 years. Since 1970, she’s worked in many positions while at the company. The feat has earned her the nickname ‘McLegend. ’Even though she’s been an employee for a long time, Barbara says she loves her job and has no plans on retiring. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

My grandpa phd in entomology worked most of his life for WHO working with mosquito's and mosquito born diseases like malaria, unarguably more important then a McDonald's worker but guess who gets famous online for work, a mcdonalds worker, can anyone explain.

I live in fort Pierce Florida and I can assure you they did not name a food item after Barbara. It would be nice if the owner would name a food item after her since this is her 53rd year anniversary. However, usually employers do not do such things for their employees.

There is an elderly lady at the Miller Place McDonalds in Long Island NY. She's been there since I was a kid, please give her a shoutout! Also, shoutout to the Wading River McDonalds that closed during COVID times, the entire staff was exemplary, very sad they closed that location.

Out of nearly 40,000 locations of McDonald’s and a million of employees or two, Barbara is a longest serving McDonald’s employee and worked for 53 years! I don’t think I can work that long. Used to work at McDonald’s from 2008 to 2010 in PA, I never met any employees who worked for a very long time!

I'm honestly surprised she loves her job that much to the point where she doesn't want to retire anytime soon. I've never worked at a Mcdonald's before, but I've seen how busy those employees work behind the counter. I definitely believe they're underpaid, and underrated as employees. Even if she doesn't have to do so much, being at one job at a small Mcdonald's building for 5 decades seems to boring to me. 10 years felt too long for me at my previous job which was at a grocery store.

Reminds me of a guy I used to work with that worked for Taco Johns for 40+ years at the same store. That guy could tell you the stores history almost from start to current day. Im unsure if he still works there today, as a corporation bought it and ran it into the ground. Basically everyone quit.

I believe is mostly just here in the midwest, so if you live on either coast you've probably never heard of it. However our store was bought by a corporation and slowly ran into the ground. I quit, then basically everyone else because it got so bad at our store. Then Taco Johns themselves started lowering their food quality significantly as of recently. At this point its pretty much just glorified Taco Bell. However it used to be much better.

A person spending 53 years at McDonald's is astounding but also sad like there could have been other jobs that she could pursue, but she chose to stay at McDonald's for 53 years when they don't even pay their employees $13 an hour which is just sad.

this reminded me of a pizza delivery driver who was delivering pizzas for so long he was the only pizza delivery driver working in delivering pizzas the longest. he had the dedication Barbara had in delivering pizzas. dedication to what you truly love so much matters the most no matter if it is flipping burgers, delivering pizzas or anything everybody never thought of putting their dedication into their passion for work it is out of the question being just a career let alone a job.
