One in four pregnancies miscarry, often before a woman even knows she’s pregnant. Women have been blamed for their miscarriages pretty routinely. There was no shortage of people to tell my what I did to cause mine. I don’t understand why, but our society deals pretty harshly with pregnant women.

Yes, 1 in 4. At least. Sometimes, it is a non viable fetus. Sometimes, the womans body is dealing with health issues. Ectopic pregnancies are a real threat to the woman's life if surgery is not carried out.

I know what they used to say. If you are active, you should know that you could be pregnant at any time. So if you engage in any behavior at any time that could harm a possible pregnancy, you are considered a criminal. You might want to research some history about the Comstock Laws.

Something to consider, too, is that addiction can mess with your menstrual cycle. When I was very, very deep in my alcoholism, I was barely eating and I lost my period. Thankfully I wasn't pregnant, but I had no idea either way. I was incredibly sick and couldn't even think about taking care of myself in any way. I only got help because I ended up in a coma and I had no choice. I was absolutely lost. People in that head space don't need to be pregnant. And addicts need help. Also, never quit alcohol cold turkey because it can quite literally k*ll you. Talk to a doctor. Please get help people

@@timothyconley2579I mean, it doesn't matter if you knew you were pregnant or not, so doesn't matter if that could be proven. You should really look into the Comstock laws from 1920. Many red states are using these to prosecute women, including those who didn't know and had a miscarriage. ....maybe, and this is just a suggestion...instead of running around posting the same emotional message on all these comments, maybe actually educate yourself before opening your mouth. That usually helps with ignorance I've learned. ^.^

She had an order if protection against her former partner. He violated it and came on her property. She fired in the air to warn him off. She went to pridon for it.

The woman in the video had stopped once she knew she was pregnant. Her miscarriage wasn’t caused by her past drug use. The possible of cause of death for her baby was genetic anomaly or placenta abruption.

Brittney Watts was 22 weeks pregnant, and her pregnancy had been deemed non-viable just days earlier, when she miscarried in the bathroom of her home. Two weeks later, she was arrested on charges of felony abuse of a corpse for how she handled the remains. It’s the fact that the baby was put into a toilet large enough to clog up the toilet, left in that toilet, and she went on her day. She flushed a dead baby down the toilet.

Everyone knows that drinking and doing drugs while pregnant is deadly for babies. If you do those things and cause your baby to die or suffer injury, you are absolutely liable for those things and should suffer the consequences.
