After 14 years of marriage. Wife left for another man. It destroyed me for years. 5 years later I am doing the best financially than anytime in my life. I am pursuing my own goals, and achieving them. I do not have another woman or do I even want one. What I have realized at 55 years old is there is nothing more over rated than marriage, or for that matter just being in a relationship.

when i worked in a hospital. One of the nurses started an affair with a young doctor. Once this began she started painting her plumber husband as an abuser. But before hand she used to sing his praises on buying a home etc. I realized now she was character assinating him in order to justify her betrayal. So she ended the marriage and started to call the doctor her boyfriend. The Doctor denied he was her boyfriend and six month later he was engaged to a girl from his home town. anyway when i left the hospital 10 years later. she was overweight and 39 with no children and no man. She had a good life but wanted it all and failed.

My ex-wife was cheating on while accusing me of cheating. When I filed for divorce she started that poor me crap trying to make things work. Her true colors came out during the divorce when I had full custody of the kids and all she wanted was money.

Mine was always texting her "gay" friend who ended up being not gay but her side piece. Another was always texting her son but it was her side piece listed as her son in her contacts. They will only cry when they get caught. Be smart fellas.

Before I was cheated on many years ago the following things happened. Almost one year before it started she began to improve her appearance. Excercise, weight loss, the purchase of a new wardrobe consisting of provocative outfits. A new hair style. Fancy makeup and nails. Like a dumb ass I thought it was great. At first. She had totally changed her appearance and was super hot. The next thing she did was to get a job with variable hours and days. No work day or week was supposedly the same. There were supposedly two shifts and she could be required to work either one- supposedly. My job was an hour and half away so she almost always left for work after I left or before I came home so I didn't see how she was dressed or if she was bringing a sexy outfit change with her. Another thing she did was to start finding lots and lots of things wrong with me. We had been married for over 10 years had two children and suddenly I was no good. She became distant and we were rarely intimate. She started making ATM withdraws instead of using her card for "purchases ". I had a demanding job that paid well but required long hours and a lengthy commute. She didn't need to work. The deal was supposed to be that I would make the money and she would take care of the house and kids. She said she needed to work for mental health. My life had turned to crap. It went on for a long time. I was such a fool. Finally she started getting too comfortable and got caught. I hired an investigator . He was really good. He got information from many people as well as photos, motel records etc. Apparently she was looking for a better financial situation. She had tried to land at least 3 different men. Just a treacherous bitch. Never ignore the signs. Don't be a dumb ass like I was. There is no permanent love when it comes to women. Get rid of them at the first sign of betrayal. You don't need a smoking gun to know she's cheating.

The worst part is that women actually justify this behaviour in their heads with whatever bullcrap excuse they can come up with.

Surprises me how many people ask their partner if they are cheating, expecting them to confess. The gut feeling is usually a good indicator

I had a f-buddy in college my senior year. This girl was engaged to a guy who had already graduated and was working on the other side of the country. I met her in a phys-ed class and we hit it off. Before I knew it, we were sleeping together. She talked about breaking up with her fiance, but I had no desire to get married and advised her not to (and she did keep quiet about us). However, he would often call while we were having sex and she would play her "phone challenge". That is, trying to hold a normal conversation with him while we were doing the deed. She seemed to revel in it. After I graduated, I never saw her again. To my knowledge, her finace never found out (though she was worried about one of his friends on campus seeing us together). She married him, had a few kids and is still marrried to him. He likely thinks she has been forever faithful to him. I did talk to her 2X after she got married. She made no mention of any post-marriage affairs, but did indicate that she slept with someone else before she married him. Just goes to show that one never knows.

I know a chick who was just married and has been cheating on her husband/former boyfriend throughout. The husband has pissed his life away with a garden tool, and he has no idea. She'll slip up and get caught eventually, as they always do, and rather than feel terrible for having thrown years of another person's life away, she'll feel sorry for herself. 100% in my experience (multiple times) if a woman accuses you of cheating she is cheating on you. Goes for whatever behavior they accuse you of. It’s called “projection”.

I always try and find out what their relationships are like with their fathers. Her response will speak VOLUMES. If her father was around and raised her properly like a family man he was then she will be like him and use same traits that he used. An absent or cheating father in a woman's life should be an instant red flag over your future with her.

I always found that when women speak poorly of their spouse it isn't necessarily they accuse the husband of cheating but they seem to be setting up a plan to cheat or leave so that when they do do it they look better in front of their friends and family. It's not usually they have remorse but they are worried how they look.

Wife of 35 years monkeybranched to a guy at her new job. Blinsided at first but hindsight was 20/20 and now see the signs i missed. He finally broke his ankle last summer that got him to stop drinking one night. He's finally off the sauce, divorce final, and doing better now.

I dont think all women find it easy to move on but I agree a majority do, I see it in my female acquaintances and I think its getting worse in younger generations, Im Gen X and when I was a teenager dating I was full of (obviously unrealistic) notions of romanticism that I would meet the one and fall in love and be together forever - never thinking of how much a guy was earning - now it seems the younger generation are scoping out the financial advantage before the first date. Society as a whole has lost sight of the value of monogamy, honesty and loyalty. I had a dancing bear party for lunch at my house with some women I worked with. I had no idea what that was going to turn into! Women talk each other into self-destruction with their respective mates daily. Mothers do it to daughters, friends do it to friends. Yes it's a simple tactic of abusers, typically under isolation where if you accuse somebody first or get them believing they are doing something they will be more focused on proving you wrong or figuring out why then realizing maybe they should be asking the same thing back. Obviously if somebody is cheating they can accuse somebody else of doing that which in a way would avoid being found out or discovered

Yep! ALL FACTS! I was accused of cheating after my ex had my kids. She had another one lined up before she left (monkey branch). Yeah, that didn’t work out either. She ‘acted’ in the divorce proceedings as if they were a soap opera. The truth came out without me looking for it, thankfully. She’s still out there on the carousel. Fortunately, I’ve recovered/thriving financially and my life is extremely peaceful while I’m moving forward with my kids. Great book! I’m reading the first version for a third time.

I had something like this with my last serious partner; except, she knew the guy was married and had kids. Turned out she was cheating on me with two guys at her uni, and this other guy, the married one, she knew in the navy. I learnt so much from that relationship, and how it turned out, I'm actually pleased she was so awful to me.. it brought me to the red pill, and whilst I'd still categorise myself as purple pill, I'm vastly more headstrong in dating and at maintaining boundaries. I still haven't found someone I want to have kids with, but I feel a lot more certain of myself and that future should I achieve it; all whilst I chase excellence. Cheers Rich for the inspiration!

When I was dating multiple women, I would routinely find immediate behavioral faults with the more annoying ones simply as a pretext to get them off my case. A good problem to have but still a problem. When you are in a position to treat women with the same sense of "expendability" (for want of a better word) in the dating game that men are routinely treated to by women, you soon learn all the tricks.

I'm not proud of this. But I was the guy a girl cheated on her bf with. I threatened to expose her to him, and I eventually sent him a message on FB and was immediately blocked. I thought it was a bit strange, but then I realized that she probably had her boyfriends password under the guise of "can I have your password so I know you're not cheating on me?" when in reality she just wanted to make sure I couldn't tell him.

I knew as I heard this guy say my girlfriend was accusing me of cheating and I wasn't it was stressful I immediately thought it's cuz she was cheating and she's trying to hide it under the guise of accusing him of cheating. Women do stuff like this all the time I first started to notice it in my mother and then when I realized every girl I've ever dated does this stuff too, it makes it tough to take any of them seriously.

I would have thought Rich covered this long ago. The golden rule of cheating is that if someone is accusing you of cheating and you aren't, they are. The accusations are made in hopes of catching you so they can then say you are just as bad as them. So, if someone is accusing you of cheating and you haven't, ask why they cheated and get away from that person. It comes down to this, the person has almost certainly cheated and you can't trust them. On the unlikely event neither of you have cheated, that means the other person doesn't trust you. Either way trust has left the relationship. No trust = no relationship. End the relationship and move on. There is no rebuilding a relationship once trust is gone because the thought of another betrayal from the person will alway be on the back of your mind.

They do 2 things. 1. They buy you gifts, cards, or flowers 2. They accuse you of cheating.

The ONLY time a woman has a similar experience to a man (difficulty 'moving on') is when she's: 1. blindsided by the split (ie didn't see it coming and no back up/monkey branch) 2. was in a highly advantageous (to her) match; AND 3. is demonstrably past her prime SMV years (and is aware of this). Only in a scenario where all three of those conditions are present will she be similarly wounded. Any other time she's pretty much ok. This is completely distinct from the (fairly hackneyed) "Alpha widow" phenomenon you hear a little too much about in manosphere circles.
