Women in Heavy Metal 1979-1989 Japan Part1

Alle three are all-female heavy bands from Japan in the time frame 1979 to 1989. They're surely long forgotten and sank into obscurity but they deserve respect for the great music they created. That's excatly what I'm trying to do with this video. Enjoy!!

Valkyrie still plays, in fact they played Sept 3rd, 2016 at Big Jack's in Osaka. They have a new vocalist but the rest are the original members.

They will be playing again on March 27th, in Shinsaibashi at Hokage. They played at SOMA on the 4th of March as well.

No problem on the quick answer. And there's a chance they may not play until September they have an offer to play in July but they haven't decided anything concrete yet.

Out of the three songs here, I like the Vixen song the most. It has such a brutal, heavy driving riff that a lot of bands would sell their very souls to write. I wish the American band of the same name sounded more like this!

I do too, the vocals do remind though of an Older Loudness song, so im guessing they were influenced By Loudness.

I start to write a book in french about female fronted HM bands (during the 70/80 to early 90s), if someone have please some infos about underground, rares, forgotten Japanese bands I'm really interesting!
