I got my period one day in 6th grade but I was too shy to ask my teacher to go to my locker and get a tampon so instead I asked him if I could go to the bathroom. He said no do I decided I could just wait... in the last few minutes of class I peaked at my chair and realized I had stained it! I panicked and showed by best friend who was next to me. She felt bad and decided that we should switch chairs and she would tell the teacher it was her. She also gave me a pad and her sweatshirt to cover my stained jeans. I love you Alyssa!

I just got my period and I live with only boys and white bed sheets so when they woke up the found stained sheets and me crying over cramps my brothers got me chocolate Tylenol a heatpad and I’m pretty sure the whole stock of pads and tampons (not that I use tampons) my brothers let me use their computer and my dad gave me his phone so I could talk to my aunt if I had questions

My horror story: Okay so I am a tutor and my 2, eight year old students were at my home for studying. The three of us were sitting on the floor comfortably. I was done teaching them, got up for a glass of water, suddenly one of my students screamed, "OMG what is this?" I turned around, saw blood. HOLY CRAP. Then the other student said the worst thing they ever could, "Is it ketchup?" I internally threw up. Then I quickly made an excuse that I have got my thighs hurt and they are bleeding. We three never talked about that day again.

I was first starting my period and had a few months clear of flow.I went on a vacation to Florida to visit my aunt and uncle and 18 year old cousin.Anddd i forgot pads. Everything was really fun until i woke up surrounded by blood.Ok,i went to my Aunt and she cleaned it up and informed me she had already gone through losing her period.SoI went to my cousin ofc.Thats how i found out my cousin was pregnant😘

One time I was at a Walmart on my period and I had to use the bathroom, I went and the toilet wouldn’t flush as a 13 year old at the time I panicked and started to cry. A huge group of teenagers and little girls came in and then I started to really panic. I was texting my mom but she would answer me. So I sat in the bathroom crying for 40 minutes Until all the girls left. I came out of the stall and some old lady saw I was crying and said honey it will get better. Then she went into the stall I was just in and said eww omg. Then came out looked at me and started laughing. Every time I think of this story I want to cry😤

My first date, with my first boyfriend, 14 years old, and I had so much fun I forgot I was in my period and didn't change for 6 hours. When we were going home, a woman stopped me on the street to say I was all leaked. I was super embarrassed. He was super cool about it. Didn't even flinch. Gave me his sweater to tie around my waste to cover, took me home and kept dating me for another year. He won me right then and there.

In my case, my mother thought it was because I didn't use to clean my parts well, but then she found out the stains in my underwear were red and not brown, and then told me what the real problem was (because I was only 10 too, so I didn't know what the period was until I had it).

Amira X haha I know, I usually just say 8, it was close enough it took about 2 years for it to turn into a ‘regular’ period though. I would only get it for 2/3 days every 2/3 months and it was a browny red that wasn’t really bloody it was just a clotted mess, sorry for TMI

once my aunt was at a Guns N' Roses concert with my uncle and a few of their friends (keep in mind she was wearing white jeans) and one of their friends picked my aunt up and put her on his shoulders and they were rocking out or whatever and then it happened she got her period on his shoulders and he was also wearing a white shirt lol so the concert went on and she didn't tell him what happened after he got off his shoulders and there was a blood stain on his shirt hahahahah

I had my period on my first day of meddle school, and the uniform was a yellow skirt, I was setting in the front of the class and when I stood and walked to the door of the class I heard some girls gasp, I turned and everyone was staring at me, it was the first day of a new school!! I didn't even have the time to make a good impression or make friends! I ran to the bathroom and I two girls came and helped me and one of them give me her jacket to tie it up around my waist, I walked back with my head up! I didn't let it empress me, I was the period girl for a two weeks but that was about it. thank god it was a girls only school. and btw the girl who gave me her shirt became my best friend all through meddle school.

I got mine a summer afternoon shortly before my 13th birthday. Luckily I was at home and saw a small speck of blood in my underpants when going to the toilet. My mum gave me pads immediately. Horror story was 3 years later, one day after my 16th birthday I had a 2 week internship at an office (school made us all choose 2-week-internships at workplaces) not only did I get my period there, not only was there the hottest guy ever, - I found a stain on the back of my pants while on the toilet 😳😱😵 (obviously the pad had leaked, only after that I managed to use tampons successfully, on my summer trip) idk if one of the ladies or guys noticed, nobody told me 🙈🙈🙈 I tied my dark blue jacket around my waist for the rest of the day 😨😵😭 the pants had a beige colour which is bad but also had lots of handy pockets to hide pads in ... without people seeing me pulling pads out of my bag at school ... so they were my period pants for a long time (dunno if I continued to use them that way afterwards)

I first got mine before sixth grade. I was a my Mom’s friend house and she and a cute son around my age. We were playing around and I didn’t know why but I felt really bad ( it was the cramps) I thought I was sick so, I went to his DAD and said I don’t feel good. He said ok your mom will be back soon. My mom and his mom were out shopping for food for dinner we were having dinner at their place. Our moms come back and I told her I didn’t feel well she said it’s probably because I haven’t eaten anything yet i was like ok ya so we ate dinner. After dinner I go to the bathroom, to my surprise I saw the blood on my underwear I tell my mom and we go home right away. Luck for me her son didn’t notice and I didn’t bleed through my jeans (I have a very light flow) ever sense then I Carrier a pad and tampon with me all the time😖😅🤭

for everyone wondering, i mostly use pads but there are occasions i need tampons. i recommend using a handheld mirror and sit it in the floor to see stuff down there and just make sure when you get it in to get it far enough or else it will be very uncomfortable.

My mom was on her period for nearly 5 years. And She was in so much pain that She would literally pass out or get violently sick. She would have "light" days almost 1x or 2x a year. After several Er visits, we finally found out after she nearly bled out, she had stage 1 uterine cancer that almost went to stage 2. She had the surgery and has been cancerfree for almost 3yrs now.

The first time I ever cooked for my current boyfriend (and I was really trying really hard to impress him) I made him a steak dinner with roasted red potatoes and a herb green salad. He took three bites frantically and said how wonderful and delicious it was ( and trust me it was) when my wonderful Chihuahua (Who was right by his feet) VOMITED A USED TAMPON! I had to stop eating and help her get it out of her lodged throat! My boyfriend didn’t eat any of the dinner that I slaved over for him as he was grossed out (as was I)

Poor girl... 😭 I have endometriosis and I'm also anemic. Not to mention I get migraines. I also didnt wear tampons until after I had surgery. Best friend award for her! Bad dog! Ate the tampon? My dog would drag out my pads and underwear from the bathroom 😭 I was like 12... That sucked so bad.

I look back at when I first got my period and feel like the queen of using toilet paper. I was 10, didnt tell my parents, got it in the middle of the school year, and no one found out till beginning to mid summer. I used toilet paper and hardly got any on my underwear, uniform, clothes, etc. I do look back on that though and wonder how though lol.

I’ve never had a super embarrassing period miss hap... yet. But I do remember the first time I experienced the pain of cramps. I was in middle school at the time, and it happened when I was on the school bus on the way home. At first I just felt really uncomfortable, but I dismissed it as motion sickness from the bus. But then the discomfort just slowly got worse. I told my friend who was sitting next to me to let me out into the walkway because I was getting dizzy and needed space. I slowly moved up the bus ( grabbing everyone’s attention) and laid down in an empty seat at the front. At this point I still have no idea that the pain I was experiencing was cramps, so I started crying thinking there was something severally wrong with me. My friend comes up to me and is trying to console me, but I can’t focus on anything and could barely form words. When we finally get to our stop my friend literally had to drag me home because I couldn’t walk. That was how much pain I was in. We got home eventually and my mom comes to the door and sees her daughter in a crumpled mess in the door way. The next day I thanked my friend from the bottom of my heart for helping me. And that was the first time I felt a period cramp.

Here is my embarrassing story: I was going to the beach with my friend and I was very heavy that day and I only had regular pads. We were sitting in the very back so I had to hope over the seat. I got out to go to the bathroom when I noticed blood was running down my legs so I ran to the bathroom. My friend had to dump a water bottle on my legs to get off all the blood. When I got back in the car I realized when I was hopping over the seat I got blood on the back of the seat. This car was 20 years old and had cloth seats. Lucky for me her 3 year old brother got a nose bleed right after that situation so we blamed it on him.

ShookSister -1000 Subs?- I used to be! Don’t feel pressured to use them. I didn’t until over ten years after I started my period! I love them now though. Just start with a small size and use Vaseline to help get it in if you haven’t used one before

My period story Middle of a 7th grade star test, the one day I was not wearing a pad because I was out. My gut told me something was up, asked to go to the bathroom. Best GUY friend pulled on my arm when I was walking out the door, said "Your on your period, wrap my jacket around your waist NOW!!" Wrapped the jacket around my waist, and had it on the whole day. Washed it after I changed/ before invent to bed. Gave it back to him the next day, and he gave me chocolate for my cravings. Have never talked to him about it previously, and am happy he has been there for me for so long. Freaking love the dude!!

The reason why it’s good to know different plants is because of what the first girl did. Poison ivy tend to be a small three leafed plant. Try to get tree leaves to be the least risky. Chances are the area you’re in will have at least one tree so not pick leaves from plants on the ground

Heavy flow during a twelve hour flight with you being the only girl in an all guys group. Thank God I started before we boarded so I didn’t get caught off guard mid flight, but I only used pads at that time. So I spent the whole flight paranoid that I would leak through AND I was brilliant to think I should wear a skirt that morning 🤦🏻♀️

One time in school after changing my pad in the girls bathroom i was pretty happy because nothing had leaked and my flow wasnt too much and i didnt have any cramps. Then i felt something going down my leg. For a minute i thought it was an ant or something since my class had just gotten back from recess, but no. When i looked down i saw a trickle of blood going down my leg. The person next to me asked me why i was bleeding so i said i had ripped off a scab. Then i stood up. Grabbed a tissue. Sat back down and wipped of the blood. Still it has been one of the most embarrassing stories of my life
