I’m Russian woman. I live in Australia and I do miss this holiday. I miss being celebrated that I’m a woman. Our boys at school were giving all girls little gifts that was organised by a teacher in secret every year. And we used to give them gifts the same way on the 23 of February on a day of a defender of a motherland. My dad would get flowers for mum and me and my sister and little gifts.

Russian women don't have to pretend to be strong like they do here in the West. Russian women ARE strong! In a natural way, without constructing a confrontation with men. There is no doubt about it anymore, but we are at the beginning of the Russian century. The West has run down the drain.

A total war took place on the territory of the Soviet Union - with the destruction of cities and villages, infrastructure, etc. Russian women have accomplished a feat of labor; no one in the world will ever compare with them. I did not count in the number of British losses the 5 million Indians whom Churchill starved to death during the war.

One in five Russian women face domestic abuse every year. In 2018, 5,000 Russian women died at the hands of their abusers. The problem is disproportionately severe in Russia, where a state-sponsored culture of machismo and isolation has eroded what few protections survivors had left. Of all those who die from domestic violence each year, 10 percent of them are in Russia, a country which makes up less than 2 percent of global population. A dismal 10 percent of Russian women who are abused go to the police, and only three percent of those cases ever make it to court. The failures of the police are part of a larger systematic failure of the Russian government to protect women.

Well done, Sam. We do celebrate Women's day in Australia, but not the same as in Russia. We don't have any public holiday, but I saw some people bought some flowers, not as much as I saw when I was in Russia. I think many Russian women are very kind and nice. Great to make some people happy even though you don't know them. You brought so many smiles to many people in one day that was brilliant. Good luck with your work.

Wonderful performance! Great gift idea for complete strangers. It's a shame that the guard ruined Sam's mood at the end. Indeed, filming in shopping centers is allowed. But, alas, very often a small employee, receiving even a little power, begins to abuse it. However, there is currently military action in country 404, so perhaps the guard was tense because of this. Don't be upset, Sam! You did a great job, improved the mood of a lot of people, let their smiles warm you! And believe me, there are even more smiles on the other side of the monitor! In general, Women's Day is not the most important holiday in Russia. The most important holiday is New Year. Women's Day is the most important women's holiday. This is an official day off. There is also Mother's Day, it is celebrated on the last Sunday of November. But it is not so popular, not everyone celebrates it.

Sam brilliant video, the quality of video and audio is awesome. That business centre is stunning - & agree that office is the berries. The vehicle you saw is called a half-track i think. Your motor is fine, i keep seeing them for sale but they are all diesel here, unless you recon the diesel is fine over the petrol. 500 BHP is … the steering wheel is merely something to hang on to. I really liked the genuine joy the women and girls showed to your genuine gesture. All authentic. Stunning sunset, scenery and surroundings. That business centre is a nice environment to be, and they make such a great workplace out of every unit, shop and salon. Great upload. Happy Russian women day to all the pleasant fine ladies and girls & even the babushka who was looking after her teeth.

So cool how you just walked into and around that beauty salon with no. head person. 2) Going into that one office and Italian lunch going on would be so uncomfortable for me to do that.Those offices seem really cool and neat. Yes like you said in Canada/Usa/United Kingdom/Australia/New Zealand I know a single guy walking around would not be able to do that for long.

It is an odd one. In Britain you are not allowed to film in a shopping centre as it is private property - and because there are children around, who cannot consent to being imaged. I was with a friend 20 years ago who was taking pictures of a wooden bench, he was doing a woodwork course, and the security guy came over and told him politely about the law in a UK shopping centre. Also UK speed cameras are only ‘allowed’ to get you for speeding from behind. It is a law to do with “you could be having an affair with someone and you have a privacy right”. - so i was told anyway. The public street outside is definitely different though.

Very serendipitous video, Sam. I was teaching on commodity chains and supply chains today and I used Nutella as an example. I pulled up the map of the commodities involved in Nutella, and there was Vladimir on it as home to one of the factories for Fererro, along with other factories in Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, and Australia. I would imagine your local Kinder eggs are made at the Vladimir factory, too. I may use that as an example next week as Kinder Surprise eggs aren't allowed to be sold in the U.S. Also, that office building was beautiful. We would call that a gentrified area here. Well done Sam, even those small gift can bring some joy, so many happy reactions, I love the video. So many girls are so positive, smilling, full of energy. Real pleasure to see them. It used to be big holiday at old communist times here. Now pretty much forgotten, because of the history in communist time. Quite badass vehicle, I like those, must be fun to drive in the countryside or on the snow. I would love some with tank like driving or at least try this driving style.

Great video Sam ... also when the light affects the camera it's just the shutter speed not in sync with the lights. Only if you are using a camera that has easy access to changing your shutter speed can you quickly fix it. Any light you run into can do that to you all because of the speed of the shutter on your camera. Sometimes you might need to speed it up or slow it down to fix it quickly but if your camera doesn't allow for it easily I wouldn't even bother. Once again great videos. Greetings from Texas! 😁

So nice to see this Sam 💗 I really enjoy it. I get a little envious since this is something that wouldn't be possible here. It is heartwarming and it's so funny to see the ladies a little suspicious and then their smiles. No there is not a celebration like in Russia at all here. It has always been political in Sweden. Mothers Day is more a celebration of women here. Sam do you know that Russell experienced the same thing in a flowermall in Moscow with security. He wasn't allowed to film in there either. Thankfully there are other places,other people that accepts it. Like all those lovely ladies in this video.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, I spoke with Russell about it. These places think that they allowed to make up the rules, but they are not! The law clearly states that a person has the right to film in any location where there is an exchange of goods for money! So a shopping centre falls under this category.

It's shame so many women were not happy to receive some chocolate. I would be super happy & give you the biggest smile. It seems many are unsure of your intentions. I'm glad the women in the Culinary office @15:15 , seemed to be a bit more happy. Could be they were much younger. Even at my age, I'd be super joyful to get one. But you are right, giving one to strangers on the street, might give you more of a positive reaction. But then also, many would say "No Thank You". Keep doing what you're doing Sam. I puts smiles on people's faces.
