Heat 2 was the best for me. Great clear picture, really great to see what was happening

If the crossfit games are designed to find the fittest people on earth, then why do the higher finishers finish lower in this event? Answer: Crossfitters train for crossfit workouts. Crossfit cycles through a couple movements, so it is predictable to train. Crossfit athletes train in swimming, long distance running, gymnastic movements (muscle-ups, hand stand), snatch, clean and jerk, pistols, and a couple other workouts. That might sound like a lot, but this stuff can be all done in 1 weeks worth of training. When random events like this are introduced in the crossfit games, the athletes are unprepared for it and fail. However this is 1/12 events and the best crossfitters win all the common events that they prep for.

I'm not being funny but 6:55 up until 7:59 could've been edited by a 6 year old. You don't see the heat then the replay doesn't even work. Ridiculous, can you sort these things out for next year Crossfit? Something like this seems to happen every event

This is just another way of enjoying or viewing a sport. I enjoy watching to a point, but, it could prove boring as time goes on. We called this circuit training in my time.
@TheMicky5310 жыл бұрын
***** Because the term "fittest on Earth" pissed me off so much initially , I came to the conclusion that what the Crossfit people meant by that term, is that the winner of the yearly Crossfit games would be considered the fittest Crossfitter on Earth ( one male, one female). I'm O.K. with that.

Crossfit is not an original idea never done before. Olympic programs of Eastern Nations used the concept and called it general physical preparedness 60-70 years ago. In my day in football, hockey or track and field etc. it was called cross training or circuit training, or super and giant sets of different lifts with sprinting or sled pulling. Crossfit just franchised the brand. The older you get the more you realize most things are just renamed & overhauled to look new and revolutionary.

Lol these games are honestly pointless. It's more of a workout. Nobody cares who can lift the most or is faster. Crossfit takes way too much pride in the little games they have.

They are better, they have a full command of their bodies. ;)
@rmzulhilmi9 жыл бұрын
No, they're NOT. That's why there's no CrosShit events in Olympics. Those who compete in CrosShit are those who can't qualify for professional leagues.
@cesargiraldo66629 жыл бұрын
Zulhilmi Rahman, that's just a label. It doesn't say anything. I'm pretty sure that many crossfitters are in better shape that many "athletes" and can perform very complicated exercises that some "athletes" might not. On top of that, your statement is ridiculous. There are way too many sports and disciplines that are not listed in the Olympic Games. Aren't they athletes then? And last but not least, Dictionary.com says this: - Athlete: a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength; a participant in a sport, exercise, or game requiring physical skill. In a nutshell, your response makes no sense.
@rmzulhilmi9 жыл бұрын
César Giraldo, then you're full of shit because athletes like Usain Bolt is a real champion. .... and he is using exercises as a tool to be the best in what he does. Not by competing the exercises. I'm sure he practices cleans for reps, squats, deadlifts, etc, but he doesn't compete for that. He's using it as a tool. If he has the best max reps or the lifting the heaviest load of the exercises and can't perform on the field, then the program are full of shit. On the other hand, if he trains smart and some athletes even have bigger load of weights or reps than him BUT he performs better on the field, then the program works. Like I said, it's a tool. Maybe most American footballers don't do cleans for reps like you fools do or perform 100 kipping pull ups but when performing the real sport, they're faster and stronger than CrosShit "athletes".
@cesargiraldo66629 жыл бұрын
Zulhilmi Rahman, hahaha. Did you finish? If that is your opinion I'm pretty sure nobody will ever manage to change it but you, be happy with your "amazing" way of thinking. Congratulations, you achieved a new level! I still think nothing of what you are saying makes actual sense but if you think you are right, stick to it. Finally, can you even complete one CrossFit session (if it is "shit"...) or to manage a performance as an athlete at any sport? Because you don't appear to know what you are talking about, I only see you are moaning and criticizing.
