China take on Korea in the preliminary Pool B match as part of the women's volleyball event at the London 2012 Olympic Games (5 August).
Volleyball was conceived as a less strenuous alternative to basketball. The sport became popular very quickly and made its Olympic debut in 1964.

@@jojojojo-ju3ci My country Brazil has won 11 Olympic Medals Men and Women Volleybaal together since Los Angeles 84 until Tokyo 2020., 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze. South Korea never has won any medal in Volleybaal at the Olympic Games. Thats sad

That was embarassing by Koreans, leading by 9points and losing the set and then cost them the match. Lucky it turned out well in the tournament for the Koreans later.

@@sho9214 My country Brazil has won 10 medals at FIVB Worldchampionship Men and Women together since 1982 until 2018, 3 Gold, 6 Silver and 1 Bronze. South Korea never has won any medal at FIVB Worldchampionship. THATS SAD
