Did you know that 30 years of practicing Gynecology gave me the ability to immediately recognize a woman with testosterone deficiency? In fact I can usually tell if a woman is deficient in testosterone by giving her a comprehensive 10 second visual evaluation-with her clothes on!
Even though it is a skill I initially learned in medical school, I further perfected my diagnostic observations by evaluating thousands of women who had symptoms of testosterone deficiency who also gave me their lab values to confirm my diagnosis of testosterone deficiency. This process further confirmed the physical signs of testosterone deficiency that accompanies aging and these physical signs are what we will discuss today. My purpose is not to teach you to be a doctor, but to help you understand yourself and your friends who are suffering because of lack of testosterone.
You may have heard of the author Malcom Gladwell who proved, that becoming an expert requires 10,000 hours of practice, so this is not a shortcut to becoming a hormone expert. My goal is to wake up your mind to the visual signs of testosterone deficiency, every time you see someone you know who complains of her low testosterone symptoms.

Summarized: "Droopy, wrinkly, old skin indicates lower testosterone in women. Hands that reveal tendons, broken blood vessels, dehydrated skin is another sign." Thinning hair in very front of forehead shows low estrodial. Low testosterone reduces overall body hair and pubic balding. Lack of testosterone is the ages you.

The man should have listened. All he did was promote the book. We don't want to read a book. We want a solution and what the ingredients are for the solution. You talk about needing Testosterone but not how and where to get it and how much does it cost. Too much talk, talk, talk, talk, talk about nothing.

I am a woman aged 44. For 2 yesrs now I have gained an extreme amount of weight (20 kg) without changes in diet. I eat my usual healthy foods. I recently was tested extensively and all female homones were fine, thyroid working, pituary gland fine, adrenals and ovaries. All good. The one thing that was not fine was testosterone. Nearly no detectable levels. It was repeated with same results. I have lost huge amounts of hair and the hair I have left is thinner. My body heals poorly. My joints ache. I suffer from fatigue unknown to me. I cry and am depressed. I have back boobs 😭 I saw a picture recently! 😭 I used to be a size small and am now an XL… I dont recognize myself and norhing Ive tried, no supplements no nothing has helped. I recently figures out why. I have had to take morphine or morphine like medications for a chronic pain after a (medically necessary) surgery 8 yesrs ago. There is apparently a condition called Morphine induced Androgen deficiency (androgen = male hormone). That is the only explanaition in my case. The long standing medications (plus age perhaps) have caused an androgen/ testosterone deficiency in me. I just hope I’ll get treatment since so few doctors have this knowledge and treat women for it. Wish me luck.. I really need it 😢🙏

Good luck🙏😄I'm 39, and I have been taking a drug for 7 years, I only just learned that this drug blocks testosterone and progesterone!!!! I would love to try some testosterone, but I'm in the UK... not sure the NHS would help with that in my case, can't afford private right now. I'm going to do what I can to correct it.

Hmmmmm! I am seeing an unspoken message here. Only my opinion which does not count for much. This woman is taking testosterone, she looks fit, she has good skin, and she is dripping sexuality. She is not taking much, because there is no change in her voice and she has no masculine appearance, but she is taking a little.

My blood test have shown that I have very low testosterone, comparable to that of a little boy's. I believe this is due to decades of using birth control pills to treat my cystic acne. But I've never had flabby arms, or loss of eyebrows, or hanging skin on my back. I've always had a waistline and a "six pack" even though I don't exercise. The worst thing was the fatigue. I always need naps in the afternoons. I'm now taking a weaker anti-androgenic pill so my testosterone levels are coming back. The boost of energy and motivation is amazing! My skin looks thicker and more supple and it's doing more than any anti-aging cream can do. But I'm now dealing with an explosion of acne on my chin. Hope it goes away.

Hi Dr. kathy, can you inform where you’re located? Is it possible to get an appointment with you? I started this treatment a year ago as a 34-year old fit woman and have been battling substantial hair loss and other symptoms. Would love to be able to see you.

Dr Maupin…..which is the best way to take testosterone? Pellets, compounded testosterone, injections or cream? And are pellets just testosterone or estrogen too….i had 1 pellet with 500 times more estrogen in it (I found out after the fact) & I was near hemorrhaging ‼️. My compounding pharmacist put me on natural progesterone & all got better❣️

Even though this is a comment from 5 yrs ago and I’m sure you found some testosterone eventually, i have discovered that dr’s in the U.K. are only allowed to prescribe for low libido... so make your case and get some testosterone from you Gynaecologist.
