Completely agree. No way would a size 16 dress be flattering on my size 4 average body. It would look like I was wearing a potato sack. It’s okay that one size doesn’t fit everyone.

I don't even understand this as a marketing thing. Are women just blindly grabbing dresses, thinking they don't need to try it since it fits everybody?

sym is annoyed those two women were very plus sized. Beautiful ladies but it’s ridiculous they think they should share the same garment as women who are a size 2-4. One size fits all will never work for a woman who’s tiny when large women need significantly more fabric. It’s just logistics.

@@macksmith1366 I don't think Joyce and Jazz "think" they should be able to fit in this dress, they are just saying that if something says "one-size fits all" it should technically fit ALL. Like Joyce said in the video, I'm sure they would all prefer if the dress came in multiple sizes so it is actually size-inclusive :)

Heidi Cara I also strongly feel that fitting a size 0 and a size 24 in the same dress is not flattering for either person. The excess fabric a petite person would have to schlep around would be obscene. Not flattering at all for them either. One size fits should be termed as “most”, but plus sized women shouldn’t feel the need for smaller sizes to wear pounds of extra fabric just so they can fit in it.

But I do think the point of this video was to say that these "one size fits all/most" clothes shouldn't exist and they should just have multiple sizes. I also think these dresses are stupid in general because there is no way something can look flattering and fit well on all body types when the item is the same size.

But everybody but Jazz and Joyce are thin. It's not impressive to have a one size fits all that only fits skinny girls

Lara M completely agreed. This dress would be wonderful for women who are pregnant or have some weight gain from underlying medical causes. Just because the dress is not a table cloth with a hole cut so every extreme size can fit in doesn’t make it pretty great for what it is

They also have a plus-size one size fits all option on Amazon. I'm a bridesmaid and the dress is this but a red colour and there's both plus-size and one size option. And it's legit $60 on Amazon with better size range. And there are also short dress options as well.

They created Torrid and other plus sized stores because it’s common knowledge a size 4 woman and a size 16+ woman obviously need a different amount of fabric. The plus sized women are the exception though, most women aren’t that large so I don’t know why they expect to be catered to.

I guess the idea is it can be flexible and you can adjust it to fit yourself where most items you'd be unable to But it doesn't always work

The product is true to what's advertised and they specify the sizing issue and offer alternative sizing for those who need it. Also, obviously I can't speak on behalf of all size 12's but I'm a size 12 and most things advertised as a 12 fit me fine. I mean I'm tall so I'm considered a 'slim' 12, but nonetheless, the measurements are the same just stretched out and proportioned a bit differently.

Sarah Yes! I feel like they often take items that are just “one size fits ... several ...” kind of products and bash it because it does not fit someone with a very unconventional body size who it is not even meant for in the first place 🙄

Dulce Macario the website states it’s for sizes 2-12. I’m not sure why she would complain about it not fitting her, knowing that. I definitely wouldn’t want to wear the same amount of fabric as her, I’d be exhausted after an hour. It would never be fair for plus sized women to fit in the same clothes as petite women. That’s why companies don’t do that. Her need to be included when sizes are already stated is a job for her therapist, not the dressmaker and every other average sized person on earth.

I had one of those dresses in teal.... but it was only 60€. Those dresses are not really hard to make and I don't see why the price point is soooo high here (didn't sound like it was super luxurious fabric either). So you could easily do it yourself...

Yeah, one of the girls that didn't fit into it said that she tried others like it that were cheaper and actually fit her. It honestly all depends on the company and the dress itself.

movi3srock I don’t think it’s about how you’re “supposed” to get it on. For the plus size girls, sometimes their shoulders are actually more narrow than their hips/thighs/butt. That’s why she said “I EVEN tried putting over my head” meaning she had already tried stepping into it and it clearly didn’t work.

I cant buy clothes online as they never fit my body right and I live in an area where there are no bridal stores. This dress could have be a great option for me, and one that wouldnt have had an additional cost for alterations. I do agree that this style is more suited to a beach or casual wedding, but its not claiming to be the perfect dress for every wedding. No one is buying a wedding dress with their eyes closed. If they buy it, its because they liked what they saw. I think the biggest issue with this video is that it should have focused on the quality of the dress and the different ways in which it could be worn. Instead they basically said they didnt like it because it wasnt what they would wear to their own wedding.

Honestly $400 isn’t bad for a quick dress, like the girl said in the video, no accessories so of course it’s going to look plain. I mean they styled the dress in multiple ways too. I mean to each of their own if they want to wear it as a wedding dress, or not. Click bait with the “one size fits all.” And after reading some other comments, I do give the company the benefit of the doubt, even if they used poor choice in wording. Nice dress, depends on how you wear it, and who is wearing it ofc

Also wanted to add, maybe the price is a little too much. I’ve never been married so I can’t really say, but I have watched “Say yes to the dress.” And those women drop a couple grand on their wedding dresses, so I compared the price to that😂

But what makes those dresses expensive is the designer and construction not necessarily the overall look. My issue is the "one size fits all" but also that it really didnt strike me as a wedding dress. To me, it just looks like a white summer dress , so 400 dollars for something that doesn't look like even an evening gown is alot. I've also never been married, I do look at dresses often and I kind of collect evening gowns...I love dresses. But even on Amazon if you're looking for a cheap wedding dress. You can get a nice one for like 100 dollars and get alterations if cheap and simple is what the bride is going for. I just dont like overpriced hype things that will make some people feel self concious because I have friends who see "one size fits all" and they DREAD it. I really wish they had one size fits all that really does, fit all. Like extremely stretchy and comfortable or something.

B the website the dress is sold on says it’s for sizes 2-12. Why she as an extremely plus sized woman would be upset she couldn’t fit in to it is beyond me. Companies specify these things so average sized women don’t have to wear a 10lbs potato sack meant for someone morbidly obese.

B your fat rolls dont count as a body SHAPE. it just makes you fat. its supposed to cater to apple shapes, triangle, hourglass, etc. not your excess fat storage

The rest are all basically the same , the smaller the chest the less effect it can cause on a dress cut .... The bigger the chest the more change it creates in the dress style....
