Rin from the Poppy War series is the ultimate woman in fiction for me - one of my fave protagonists of all time (even tho her unhinged decisions make me scream at times 😂)

Another rec for women's day- Mahashweta by Sudha Murthy, It's a powerful book about how a women should lead an independent life and the main character is a very strong and emotionally independent personality!

Definitely gonna read Kaikeyi. A woman I really love from a book is Shizuka from Light From Uncommon Stars, which is an absolutely amazing read. Ooo and Evie from Heroine Complex!

Mexican gothic is so underrated! Also I agree! Noemi was an amazing character and as a Latina it was so nice to hear that she did not deny the mixed-race aspect of her and was also proud of it!

i definitely need to read more silvia moreno-garcia. i love the way you described the women in her books. the inheritance of orquidea divina was full of strong women and i especially loved orquidea as her past unfolds. i'm definitely adding a lot of these books to my tbr.

omg I love the idea behind this video! I'd also highly recommend The Woman Who Heard Color by Kelly Jones! The main character Isabella is one of my favorite characters! Her story is incredible and some of the choices she makes are very unique and make you ask yourself what would you do in her place! The story itself is also a little bit similar to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo so a lot of people who liked this book, may also enjoy The Woman Who Heard Color

The ones I remember the most are onscreen, but let's see if I can name some book ones too. Jane Eyre, all three girls in Spinning Silver, Agnieszka from Uprooted, Princess Arista from Riyria Revelations, Sorcha from Daughter of the Forest, Tyreta from Engines of Empire, and Fanny Price from Mansfield Park

I have just two MAIN woman/girls from books that i admire a lot, and their both from books that you've read! Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson and Jude Duarte from The Cruel Prince. I read PJO and HoO (Heroes of Olympus) Annabeth has just become my role model. And Jude...i looove how she stands up for herself, and just doesn't really need anyone. But Annabeth is my role model. That. Is. That

It's older, but I'd also include Native Tongue by Suzette Haden Elgin. It's a dystopian in which the 19th amendment has been repealed and women have no rights, so they subvert the patriarchy by inventing their own secret language.

Not sure if you read Welcome to the Underworld series, by Contemplate. Yoori/Soojin is such a strong woman. If you have not read it yet, I'd recommend the books. All of Contemplate's books are really nice written and they just draw you in.

I loved Mexican Gothic, however i had a problem with it, and it was where is the Mexican?? Theres barely mexican culture in the book, and it felt weird since i am mexican, I have lived here my entire life.

Why do you describe every character as strong? There is nothing else? You don’t even explain what strong is supposed to mean here? Do all the characters from all these books have the same personality?
