We follow a young Barry Allen chasing after a car on the road to help his mom’s broken-down car until she stops him. The nobleboy doesn’t comprehend why people would ignore them in their time of need, but he will learn that lesson later in his life. Barry gets home from school but finds that the home has been broken into. It’s his mother’s birthday, and a shocked Barry finds his dead mother’s body in front of him. Barry’s life instantly gets turned upside down, and we don’t know who the killer is. Barry is tearing up at his mother Nora’s funeral, but we are suddenly taken years ahead as we see an older Barry visiting his mother’s grave on her birthday.
