I would have done the same thing there is always another job somewhere, but there's not always good people.

The moral of the story is a guiding principle that should be encouraged and hopefully embraced by all. The overdramatic telling of the fictional event was a little over the top but as intended it held the listeners attention which was after all the whole point.

Very interesting story but the only scary part was when they two men were not communicating with while travelling that far. I too would have feel uncomfortable for them not telling me where they're taking me. Communication is very important.

I have to agree with another comment that this is too long winded. At the end Carter said to his father "it's a long story", indeed this account was extremely much longer than necessary.

You are trying to promote kindness but the story itself is a terrifying recital of all that could go deadly wrong at almost ever step.

Nice fairytale. But in the workworld a good heart is not valued. I was fired because, -being a beginner and a woman-, I was slower than the men at packing, so I checked out of the system at the end of the standard time, for the company must not pay ne more for the same amount of work. Ok, I made also some mistakes also, but others do them too, (even not new co-workers). I offered to deduct it from my salary. But the company is not interested. The owner knows the story, but as we see: he values workers who have no qualms about demanding their original pay, even when they cause great damage/harm to the factory. 🤷 Strange world
