"Wonderful Land" is an instrumental piece written by Jerry Lordan recorded and released as a single by the Shadows in 1962. It stayed at No. 1 for eight weeks in the UK Singles Chart.[2]
Lordan had previously written the hugely successful "Apache" for the Shadows in 1960, and "Wonderful Land" was recorded in May 1961 by the Shadows' original line up of Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan. The strings were added later by producer Norrie Paramor. By the time of the song's release, Tony Meehan had left the group to be replaced by Brian Bennett who co-wrote the B-side "Stars Fell on Stockton". The group was in a period of transition and whilst the song was at No. 1 Jet Harris left to be replaced by Brian Locking.[1]
Wonderful Land doesn't really need any introduction , thought I'd redo it in HD and Dolby Stereo, with my Harley Benton ST-59 guitar .fitted with Tonerider Pure Vintage pickups.
Through my Zoom G3X connected via 2 Line 6 Spider 15 watt amps connected in stereo.
Using The Shadows Full Monty patches ,patch J7 which are free to download here. .guitarpatches.com/patches.php... there on page 7 you will need to install Zoom Edit and Share to install the patches on your Zoom G3x.

Hi Phil, thank you very much for a great comment, yes was happy with the end result ,only a about 3 takes.😊. When I bought the Zoom G3x off Ebay it had EFTP patches on, but I think the owner had been messing about altering some they didn't sound right. So instead of forking out £80 on a new set, I downloaded these in the description link for free, I don't know who as uploaded them but there pretty good , all named and in alphabetical order, Wonderful Land patch is very good. So thought I'd do it again, better sound ,better video.😊 Glad you enjoyed it , never get tried of listening this Shads classic. All the best Dave.👍👍🎵🎵🎸🎸😊

Yes can cause havoc these leaks, my place is council rented, there's no plumbing in the attic now ,with the combi boilers fitted, which is a good thing especially in winter. Hi Francisco , many thanks for watching my cover of Wonderful Land, I use a Zoom G3x all the information is in the description under the video, its just a basic set up really, running two Line 6 Spider combo amps set clean to the L/R outputs on the Zoom ,giving you stereo sound . Great cover. You have a lot of great guitars over there on your wall. May I please ask you something? Do you own any Fender Stratocaster electric guitars? What I mean is the original Fender brand and so on. Otherwise, beautiful video with a beautiful sound coming from that Harley Benton Strat style electric guitar.

Hi John ,thank you for your nice comment, so pleased you enjoyed Wonderful Land a great one to play , as regards to your question ,no I don't have any Fender guitars cant afford them LOL,. The Maroon Strat is made by DM Instruments bought from a dealer on Ebay, the blue Benson got given to me, it needed a lot of work on it, the Harley Benton was from Thomann in German I heard good reports on them and was a good price , I just changed the pickups for Toneriders pure vintage . The classical on the wall I made many years ago, started as a night school project , then finished some years later. That's about it really, I only started learning in 2016, and still learning LOL , its just a hobby in retirement for me 😊😊🎸🎸🎵🎵👍All the best Dave.

@@Davegtar16: That's awesome to hear. As you probably saw my videos, I own a lot of Fender Squier Stratocasters and many others. I even own a 2010 Fender American Special Stratocaster as it is one of my prized possessions. Sadly, I have slowly began downsizing my guitar collection by selling them online because I own lots of guitars that I don't even play anymore but there are some guitars that I still play in which I plan to keep. Otherwise, that's about it. Great video. All the best to you and cheers.
