💬Synopsis:
"Wonderland of Love" follows the story of the emperor's grandson Li Ni, who guards the border and is forced to take on the responsibility of quelling the rebellion. Although Li Ni is the grandson of the emperor, he was never loved by his father. He hides his identity and is content with being a carefree frontline border general who has no intention of fighting for power. During military campaigns against the rebels, he encounters the ambitious Cui Lin, who is the only daughter of General Cui Yi, the commander of the Cui family army. Cui Lin concealed her true identity and disguised herself as Lieutenant He, fighting alongside the army. They cross paths with each other many times on the battlefields. One is scheming and witty, the other is guileful and forthright. In their competitiveness with each other, from time to time they calculate and predict each other's plan and movement to fight as the winner, which leads them down the path of falling in love.

Xu Kai is the most underrated actor among his peers. He really deserves more recognition for his acting. I used to think when you've watched a few Chinese dramas, they're so similar, the stories, the actors, but then along came Xu Kai and he is different than everyone else. He was the least prepared in life for entertainment career among his peers, like zero prep even as a kid, yet his portrayal of Fuca Fuheng in the Story of Yanxi Palace became an overnight sensation to everyone's surprise. I don't think the producers or other seasoned actors on the set expected his part of the love story to become such a big hit since the drama was really about the emperor's love stories, but he stole the limelight as a nobody which allowed him more opportunities and changed his life forever and he has brought so much entertainment value to so many fans who adore his looks, his charming, fun personality, and his acting. It is a joy to root for someone like him.

i have read reviews. kinda mixed. They say the chemistry between main lead is kinda bland and the series is kinda dragged. Not a big fan of Historical or wuxia dramas in particular but i like xu kai's work so..is this worth it???

I am just finished... what a flawless series... nothing lack. Amazing story and screen play that never bored. Not a clumsy story and too many characters... very simple and sequential story. Great team work. Much impressed by this series. I thought lost you forever and till the end of the moon are best in 2023. But this one surpass everything . I loved it so much. Many series will concentrate on romance but not story. Or story will be best with less romance. But this is a fantastic romantic story with such a screenplay. Future viewers are lucky for going to watch a master piece. no need to hesitate for a second. Just go for the amazing romantic series. Love u xu kai and jing tian... and love all the supporting roles....

In the trailer for episode 17, Xu Kai's expressions reminds me of his past performances with that desperate, pathetic yet charming lovesick look for the girl to return his love that only Xu Kai can create that look that makes you ache with him. You can feel the intensity in his heart, how passionate he is toward her, but she is still mad at him, so he feels lost, conflicted, confused, hurt, and sad. She is staring off into space and he is staring intently at her with this look that is patient, serious, yet full of understanding and warmth you can see it in his eyes and his mouth expressions. These are the type of Xu Kai expressions in his eyes, his face, body language, that I saw in The Story of Yanxi palace that began my obsession to admire his mesmerizing visuals. Who does not yearn in life to have someone love us so unconditionally back? This is his gift as an actor to stir up your own emotions. Xu Kai's acting is subtle, natural, and understated (not overacted) so to fully appreciate his acting, in certain scenes, I will go back over the scene to watch his face one frame at a time to catch his expressions especially when one is distracted by having to read and understand the subtitles. Xu Kai acting is solid in Wol, but I'm not yet sure if it is his best work but I'm only into episode 7. I think his slimmer face diminished his expressions somewhat.

Both r very smart, sharp and talented in politics and strategies, magnificent warriors, and both understand each other's strategies so well.. 15:42 As usual, he finds out easily she is a girl while fighting, and also conforms to it 16:27 She is definitely a woman. the whole fighting scene is like a treat for the viewers,14:12 that dumb both are the men when they jump out from the pool. 17:05 Well, Ying took his bead from his waist without asking, and he also took her hairpin 26:03 forcefully as well. 24:22 Their whole scene in the well was so funny and cute, 36:34 but I liked the last scenes XuKai's flattery facial expression was just unbelievably outstanding!

BTW, seems everybody here came for Xu Kai. Who else came for Jing Tian, like me? After watching her in City of Streamer (a captivating 1930s Shanghai drama), I got hooked by her amazing acting, her beauty, the maturity in her facial expressions. Then I watched the Legend of Zhuohua where she portrayed a playful and mischievous character that had nothing to do with her role in City of Streamer. I got carried away by her versatility. She further proved how versatile she is from a romance POV. In the Legend of Zhuohua, she takes the lead to show her love to the ML. In WoL, she resists, plays hard to get, and seem to have so many boundaries and conditions attached to her love for the ML while the ML loves her deeply and unconditionally. Bottom line: Jing Tian is very likely my favourite actress. She pairs up perfectly with Xu Kai. Would be great if they were a couple in real life and played all future movies as a couple. Too much to ask, I know. 😅😂😂😂

I normally don't watch a series with more than 30 episodes but this one kept calling me. Yes it's worth watching it, oh yes it does have a happy ending. excellent ancient history drama. The actors know their parts and are believable . My deep appreciation to the directors for they pay attention to detail and keep the episodes with great integrity and innocents. casted very well. The costumes very well done. the history I appreciate is accurate. great attention to detail. its duly noted that they are not trained theater, yet, these actors are very believable. I have learned alot of ancient Asian history from these dramas. my hopes that these actors will keep their heritage alive and not too adapt to westerns culture. so much art, history kung fu, that is so obvious in these historical dramas. The directors in my humble opinion should get all the credit. Its a piece of art.

Assistam Court Lady com Xu Kai e Li Yitong. Eles são ótimos atores e são lindos; A história é muito boa e a música tema é maravilhosa, composta e cantada pelo grande compositor e cantor Lu Hu. Adorei e recomendo.E ainda tem uma excelente participação do Tan Jian Ci, que é muito bom ator também. A série é ótima!
