Dr. Maahirii Bose, daughter of the Maestro Acharya Jayanta Bose, is a professional singer, filmmaker and a lecturer in the University of Calcutta. As a singer, she has worked with many co-artistes and composers of the contemporary times; works which are available in plenty on KZfaq. As a film maker, she has done many short films, few of which have been selected and awarded in international film festivals. Her debut directorial feature film BHAGSHESH released in theatres in July 2018 and bagged quite a few international and national recognitions.
As an academician (PhD in Applied Psychology) & lecturer, she mentors graduate, post-graduate and post post-graduate students in psychology, applied psychology, school counseling and disability management in the Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta (Rajabazar Science College) and Departments of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Disability & Rehabilitation in National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD).
