Hey! Awesome build. I was wondering if they had this for an inground pool? I’m looking into buying one but they are like 3-8k. Was even considering what a fabrication guy in my area would charge, could you give a range , not asking of exactly what you charged.
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Жыл бұрын
I cant remember exactly what i charged but it was no where near that price, less than 2k if i remember right.

@tjr3963 haha, well it should be fairly easy to duplicate. Have fun fabbing, thats the best part, building things that alot of other people can't, they look at us as geniuses, when we are just normal people that have the skills and tools to build stuff

Great build! I am curious about one thing however, is this being hooked up to a conventional pool pump, with sand filter, chlorinator etc. if so it would put a lot of back pressure on it, and might wear it prematurely. I'm not trying to be negative, however I was considering something like this for our above ground pool, and wonder if I were to go that route if I would need to size the exchange pipes larger then 5/8" copper. Thanks!

Im not 100 percent sure what the customer did, but i do believe he just put it in line with the stock pump and filter. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I use an inexpensive aquarium pump to feed the copper tubing. It's quiet & cheap to run, plus it has no effect on the pool filtration system.
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 2 жыл бұрын
Thatd be a great idea, i believe the people i built it for planned to use the filter pump that came with the pool, but i havent seen it in action, but they said it works great! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi guys ,I've been doing this type of thing for years and I discovered early that it needs to be on it's own pump system, if for any reason the water stops flowing it turns into a steam cannon, kids just love to plug up the holes in pools and it's a serious safety issue, I always use a separate pump and I remove it when the kids get in .if done right this type of system can heat up a large above ground pool in 6 or 7 hours .I make mine out of a old hot water tank 50 feet of copper and a 1 ho pump .

@@kenmystery9754 Hi there I am trying to do the same thing, how do you connect the tubing to the tubing that goes into the pool, Like what kind of connections do you use so it doesn't melt your plastic tubing

How long did you estimate the time before having to change copper tubing? ConcernI have is with creole build up.

It apparently works good. You probably dont want something you have to constantly feed like a rocket stove.
