Drove him on the front when he could have/should have stayed in the pocket and then complained the horse is not good on the front. For whatever tactical advantage a driver gains on the lead, he loses energy. I drafted my car behind trucks (safely distanced) on a cross country trip and my gas mileage exceeded the expected miles per gallon. Brian Sears was great at staying in the pocket until absolutely necessary to go.
